Playing around with a new Fuji X-T3. These are all SOOC JPG, except for crop & keystone fixes. There's no raw converters available for it yet.

Nice tonal range below; playing with the B&W "warmth" setting in the camera:

Took Mom out for her bday to the Zoo. We did the Panda Breakfast that, while expensive for what it is, was an informative and unique experience.

Not my "fave" images ever taken by any stretch of the imagination, but I've got new phone syndrome and have been dicking around with the camera a bit. So refreshing to use a modern flagship after coming off a 2+ year-old mid-range phone that died a sudden death.

I almost regret getting to play with nicer gear at some point in the past because I keep comparing mobile phone sensors to them, unfair to say the least, but impressive in that you can get as much out of such small bodies that also happen to be fully-functional behemoths of computing power.

Hiding behind a link because these are trash compared to some of the beautiful photos on here. Damn you guys have great eyes!

My wife feeding a hippo at the Albuquerque zoo. We were on tour, so the feeding was sanctioned. It was quite fun.

I might as well post this here, since I already used it for my avatar and it's definitely a favorite. Taken at the Dole Plantation on Oahu, Hawaii in August 2016 with an iPhone 5S and a moment of opportunity.

I've bought an embarrassing amount of Fuji gear over the past year or so (some of which I need to sell). Currently have a X-T2, X-PRO2, and X100F along with some primes but mostly just been rolling with the X100F nowadays. Been meaning to compile my favorite photos from 2018 and edit them, but don't know when i'll get around to it.

Here are some recent favorites from my X100F. Feedback would be appreciated since I've only been getting back into photography since last May or so.

    1. The Carriage House

I took this one around October after a hike. I liked the combination of colors in this one and the lines on the house. I edited it using VSCO's Provia 100F preset.

    2. Golden Hour Over Z Train.

I attempted to make a vintage looking photo by using the acros-R film simulation and using the tone curve to turn true black into gray. Also used leading lines with the tracks to lead the viewer up from the bottom up to the train.

    3. The Early Bird Catches The Sunrise

I love going out in the early morning before work to catch the sunrise. This particular morning I got out there late and only really had a minute or so before the sun disappeared behind the clouds. I had to quickly move around and compose. I saw a bird moving horizontally and waited for it to move to the right side before taking the photo. Used Fuji's Classic Chrome simulation and an S-curve (I like high contrast photos)

Great shot! Reminds me of this one of mine. Might even be the same bird...

An older photo I felt like tweaking a bit. I've been seeing a lot of photographers post super-saturated, high-contrast pics so I assume that's a current trend. Not a huge fan but thought I'd give it a shot and see how it'd turn out.

Love the train photo, @thegunner100! The textures and use of lines are excellent, and something about the composition makes it seem dynamic without losing balance. Kinda like a low rumble vs a "WHOOSH", if that makes any sense? Classic.

My new favorite. I call it "Woman jumping off cliff"

I just happen to be pointing the camera in the right direction when she jumped. Taken in San Diego near Sunset Cliffs.
