No, that's called a scam. I can see how you'd confuse the two :p

There's a reason why i thought like this. Usually, in my country, when u loan something you have to put a small percentage as a deposit as safety measure. Why i thought i would had to do this here...i have no idea. This system makes more sense and that's why Portugal is in the position it is.

Well, Ive just used DHL and Fedex sites to get some cost estimates. I will obviously do my very best to somehow send the headphone according to stated requirements even though I am risking to pay up to 1000USD due to stupid DHL/Fedex pricing for "randos" who just happen to need such service once in a lifetime.

Here is hoping I will pay less in the end. Otherwise, sadly, no further SBAF loaners for me.

I shipped the Thror via DHL Express for like 200€ so I think you're doing something wrong, that was a 3500€ headphone.

DHL Express insurance is 1% with a minimum of 10€.

I mean.. I could get a pretty nice weekend trip to Italy and a 4-star hotel for $1000. Cheaper to ship myself than the headphones, lol.

Remember to check dhl express, which is for us peons, not normal dhl which is for logistics and costs a fortune. UPS can be cheap too.

OK, will try to UPS as well - thanks for allowing that. Pricing with Fedex seemed much more reasonable than DHL Express - a bit above 300USD for economy and something above 400USD for priority. Lets see about UPS.

I mean, I've had 1500€ in pc gear delivered by GLS, but make sure that includes the full 600€ insurance - last year when I checked they weren't doing that except for companies.

Hopefully it should be obvious that the only suede pads are, in fact the suede pads, and that by exclusion the unmarked leather pads are the Aeolus pads. :)

GLS is a global brand that subcontract to local small couriers. Depending on the country they can range between meah and sorry we lost your package, deal with it.

Ive had great experience with them so far for shipments from UK (around 5 packages so far). Anyway, I will keep looking and go with Fedex in the worst case.

I've decided to rather pass on this opportunity in the end. After getting my ears on Verum One over a longer period of time, I think it is time for me to stop supporting manufacturers in their 1000+ USD products in any way. I should focus more on exploring headphones such as Verum One or HD6xx instead.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you again for the opportunity.
