DSHA-3F has been a "terrible" addition to the lab ... productivity took a nose dive. Combination of:
    Dante D16 to AES -> Gungnir MB A2 | Lavry DA11 -> DSHA-3F -> HD800-Jmod | Clear | HD6x0
provides exceptionally high engagement factor. Start out with good intentions, going to listen to one or two tracks and then work on measurements, etc. Several albums later and time has disappeared, though in a thoroughly enjoyable way. Music is rendered in a seductively intimate, articulate presentation.

Any update/progress for the batch? Just wondering when to send the second payment.

The update is that the metal has shipped from the finisher and should be here late this week. If everything goes very well, it's possible I'll be ready to ship on April 8th. If that looks like it is going to happen, I'll send requests on the 5th or 6th.

    Got mine today.

    Wow.

I am not describing its beautiful appearance.

    But.. Wow.

I have believed in the potential of transformer gain stages.. but again, wow.

    More impressions to come later.

I am neither enthusiastic or enticing, and anyone who knows me will claim I can't act, and I barely work.

It also occurs to me that you are calling Zach a hawker, gambler or swindler. I hope he doesn't read this. If he does, let us know how you like your new Balsa wood Verite.

    :p

What is the availability of this amp? Is this run still open or has already passed?

The first run has all been shipped. The second run is in the works but is still a few weeks away. I have had some interest in a third run, and I'd expect anything ordered for that run will ship in August. Anything ordered in the next 4 to 5 weeks would make that run.

Ahhh... I see. I'm still trying to learn how to translate from Mr.Speakereese to English. The language is full of bright and inconsistent sounds.

(Sorry for the thread hijack, now back to your regularly scheduled Ravenswood...)

It's understandable; we don't expect such upstanding members of SBAF to comprehend the plebian jargon that spouts from peasant orifices.

    Back to the 3F now

Welcome to the club, here's your hat.:pirate07:
Two months on now and my impressions remain the same as in this post I had to physically put away the DSHA-3F and T4 for a period to get the Convert-2 and Solaris technical measurements posted.

I have lots of RL stuffs to do tonight, but couldn't even start them yet. Maybe I should pull the power cord from the amp.

Interestingly, I am hearing very, almost subtle coloration and unique presentation with this amp -- maybe because of my transformer configurations. Super fast, magical tone, etc etc. Ridiculously addictive.

Another very enjoyable pairing. While I do prefer more organic and richer presentation from bw+hd800, 3F effortlessly shows the limitation to what extent this legendary headphone can resolve. I really like Mahlers with hd800 driven by 3f. Probably I will not sleep much tonight, as I did yesterday.

So far I threw four headphones in -- two fantastically favored (by 3f) while the other two not that much.

They do look beautiful. Is the volume knob as satisfying to turn as it looks? How is it with the Arya, @Vtory ?

And that's about as far as I got before I had to do other things. I know once I plug it in, I'm not getting up.

Couldn't test arya. Don't have balanced cable. Guessing bw pairs better.

Speaking of knob, it feels very smooth and luxurious. My preference goes to stepped or relay attenuators though.
