customer service issues with Verum brand

    Below are screenshots of my entire PM conversation with Garuspik from Verum One. The only edit is to remove my real name and email.

    I ordered a Verum 1 via his website on May 21st. I sent an email via the Verum Audio website on May 30 (I think) and did not get a response. I then sent a PM via SBAF.

    Please pay attention to the dates on the PMs.

    Am I wrong to be upset? Am I the only person to get this type of treatment?

    I think he needs to no longer be MOT/Friend. That's not acceptable for a seller to talk like this to a customer.

    just a request of cancellation for a product which is so much in demand can draw so much hatred? This is no reply from a sane person. He could have easily transferred it to someone else waiting in queue.

    To me it shows this person isn't capable of running a business that requires interacting with rational human beings. I would suspect there are other cases of this that haven't been brought to the attention of the public.

    Customer service is one thing that i believe should make or break a company. I don't care if you're making and selling Utopia performance level headphones for $150 if you can't handle what seemed to be a reasonable request.

    If he apologizes with an explanation that is somewhat believable then yeah give the guy another shot at being part of this community. Otherwise wishing cancer on someone's family under these circumstances are the actions of a vindictive 12 year old.

    I’m offended but not THAT upset about it. While I appreciate people being stressed and facing deadlines, I do think people deserve 2nd even 3rd chances and the right to explain themselves. It is my hope that he is able to explain why he said what he did and we can move on. I hope he doesn’t lose business and this blows over.

    Well he's said plenty of pretty offensive things in Discord. It's one thing to have a difference of opinions but when people are literally saying you should stop saying those things and he continues to express his thoughts on taboo or questionable subject matter it's just uncalled for.

    I sincerely hope he turns a new leaf and starts acting professional because his headphones ARE great and a true performer at their price point.

    They do look like shit but if they sound good .. I didn't order because fear of issues and poor communication. I guess I was right.

    That example of rude customer service deserves a ban. He can go sell at ASR and HF. He had a good thing going here and no longer deserves MOT/Friend status in my opinion, but up to staff.

    Eh. No sympathies from me. This is so far across the line that I really can't see any redeemable fact that would mitigate the conversation as it's presented.

    He should apologize, cancel your order or offer you a substantial discount, and apologize for his remarks.

    To your credit @Gaspasser, I think you handled yourself quite well.

    It's really a shame though; I've exchanged messages with him myself concerning channel imbalance in my headphones (I elected not to ship them back due to prohibitive costs, and just try to balance it myself digitally). He was polite to me.

    I'm with @Zhanming057 here; I don't think this is redeemable. I can understand making mistakes (heck, even BIG mistakes), but continuing to cross the line and be intentionally provocative is not what any person should do, much less than a MOT. At this point it's not even just about professionalism; this is basic manners and human consideration.

    I had seen some reports of bad qc/channel imbalance, and suppose that enough of that could be stressful, but the way gaspasser was treated is unacceptable under absolutely any circumstances. Not my place to even express an opinion re his status at sbaf, but I certainly would NEVER buy anything from anyone who said such a thing, in fact, irl I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

    That is crazy and unacceptable, he's acting like a petulant child. You just don't wish something like that on someone. I am glad I sold my Verum 1's due to discomfort and won't have to worry about any possible future customer service interactions.

    Garuspik has been openly homophobic and anti-semitic on discord since the beginning. Frankly, I don't even know how he has made it this far. I’ve had him blocked for months.

    Could @Garuspik's account have been compromised? Could an admin check that the messages in question were sent by a session on the same IP(s) as his other content?
