If you need a cheap but reliable desktop speaker amp you can do much worse than T60 for this price.
It has a monster power supply, I bought it I think 7 years ago, it is quiet, pretty powerful, two inputs are very convenient, not a single issue. Will power any bookshelf speakers to a decent level.

TL;DR: the new one has 3 steel nozzles with different filters whereas the original has unfiltered steel, titanium and brass tips; the original has a knurled back plate, the new version a smooth one; and the new version ships with Spiral Dot + tips, which are a bit thinner and more flexible than the original's 'classic' Spiral Dots. There's some talk in the measurement thread about bass on the new version being tighter than the modded original. Suspecting the tips might be some of that but I need to compare more (but for fit and comfort I prefer the classics).

Edit: Further reading of the Drop page for the FD01 says it too comes with Spiral Dot + tips. So one less difference.
