    SOLD

    I've had this DAC Since November of 2017 when it was retired from the SBAF loaner program, and I then sent it off to a bunch of friends who weren't aware of the loaner program of this unknown DAC. It since has been one of the best values and best recommendations in the $2000 and under DAC category.

    So, why am I selling it. 1 - its time for a change, I'm a recovering gear cycler and this has been about as long as I've owned any one piece of gear. Getting urge to switch something up in my system, and where digital is secondary to me, experimenting sounds like fun. 2 - Soekris is rumored to be releasing an updated version of the 1541. Is there any actual information or release date? Nope. What am I going to use in the meantime? No f'ing idea (other than listen to more records). Maybe a Matrix. I have a SDAC sitting someplace unused.

    Condition - actually pretty good, but has some light scratches here and there due to bringing to meets and visting 10+ associates over the years. But everything looks good, works as it should. Audiogon scale could be a 8/10, but I would officially call it 7/10 to be safe. It has an upgraded firmware as of early 2019, but I think Soekris just released a new version. I don't know what happened to my cable, but I will look for it and include, but don't count on it (its also under $10 on amazon). Can throw in basic power cable too.

    The new buyer should know that this dac belongs to a local celebrity, one of the greats. Easily prefer this dac to anything in the price range and higher (Yggdrasil, matrix, solaris, mytek manhattan bs, etc).
