I've not been gaming AT ALL lately, and any attempts to get back into them almost always end up with me getting too lazy after less than 5 hours. Last thing I really got into was Night in the Woods a couple years ago, which probably says a lot.

Started a new playthrough of TES IV: Oblivion yesterday and I'm starting to really get why people say Skyrim doesn't feel as lived-in as the older game. Keeping it vanilla for now, but may go mods later on in subsequent runs... if I get to that point! One thing the Elder Scrolls series does extremely well is lore— I couldn't be bothered to play the others in the series but spent ages on the wiki and other fan sites just catching up on the scope of everything.

I rushed to buy it early on and besides some slight lack of polish (got stuck on a game bug that required wasting 3 hours of gameplay) that's been ironed out ever since and the seemingly high price for an indie (buying it now is a great deal though), have 0 regrets. There's probably not gonna be any other game quite like it in the near future. That amazing D&D-esque dialogue and perks system looks like it would need to be incorporated with the story to really work as well as it did (apparently took 3 years something to develop). Now I just need to wait until I've forgotten everything to play the final perfected version of the game and be blown away again.

Sometimes the joystick on the neo geo mini isn't enough. 20200505_195619.jpg

Ewww, the Mini is a disappointment (to me at least). Can't complain the sell out price they are having ATM. Too bad they will never make something like the joystick that was on the Neo-Geo CD controller or on the NGPC.

Is your Hori RAP stock, or modded?

Octagonal gate but that's it. Haven't been super into fighting games since SFIV launched so I couldn't justify going all in.

The mini is weak but for $30 was worthwhile.

I have a hyperspin box and I'll probably do a full MISTer among other things.

I'm big into sticks due to my love of the 2D Shmup/STG/Side-Scrolling Shooting Game and arcade titles that's on the Neo (try Last Resort and Blazing Star). The default Hayabusa stick on the HAP is honestly not a bad stick at all. I think it was really designed more for fighting games than other type of 2D games on various platforms since when I use the Hayabusa I didn't feel I was getting the best control in various 2D titles, but it felt more tighter for 2D fighting games than a Sanwa stick. I modded my HAP with the Semitsu LS-62 with an Octo gate. You might know the Semitsu is famous for the LS-32 (aka the other stick), they put that stick on a bunch of Japanese Candy Cabs back in the day. I think on the Japanese Neo-Geo cabs it was the LS-40 I believe. As a smuck who been in arcade shit for a very long time, I use Sanwas for fighting games like the KOF series while Semitsu I use it for every other arcade joystick game due to controls are so much better than a Sanwa (less deadzone, more precises joystick triggers).

If you are bored and you want to work on a quick project, try out a Semitsu stick. LS-32 is the standard but I prefer the LS-62 due to it doesn't "clunk" on the gates like a LS-32 (which is mostly due to I hit the stick hard on shooting games).

I dropped a Semitsu in my modded TE2. I prefer the hayabusa for SFIV/V FWIW so I’m not going to mangle my HRAP4 Kai. $100 fry’s special back in the day and it’s still going strong.

Got tired of the end game grind in fallout 76, but I spent a good 100+ hours with the game over the last month, and it was a lot of fun. There is a ton of stuff to do compared to launch.

Anyway, I started playing No Man's Sky again today and they have changed so much in the last 2 years. The game feels really good now and I'm looking forward to playing allot more of it.

I also have to tackle no mans sky again but it feels kinda lonely in that character shoes sometimes. All that "life" in the planets but it still feels like a lonely dude without dreams.

    Am i being too poetic?!

They actually added a main hub that you can visit where other players congregate. I just got there in the storyline but it's pretty cool, some random person gave me a bunch of sodium.

Oh didn't know about that, that is good to know and it's a nice addition to the game :)

Anyone else into animal crossing right now? I'm definitely a bit addicted. I'm down to start collaborating with other folks on turnip prices, etc. I'd prefer to avoid randos on turnip exchange.

This game is so good in it's current iteration. I think I am debating whether or not to get an index but if I do, I'm definitely going to be spending a lot of time in it.

Anyone played the more recent titles (like last 20 years, lol) from the Worms franchise on either PC or Android? Recommended, or not?

I'm also looking forward to try the remaster of Day of the Tentacle, more for the humour than anything else.

I tried Worms WMD recently but it didn't give me the Worms fix I was looking for, just felt different and too polished in the wrong ways. Didn't bother to try any of the other games released in the 2000's after I realized the OG Worms Armageddon was released on Steam in 2013 and has been getting periodic updates that keep it compatible, allow higher resolutuons, and quality of life changes but retains all the glorius gamplay mechanics from the good ole days - so if you loved the original it still seems like the best choice IMO

Now that I have more than 50MM bells, I probably should start making my island interesting. Stupid animal crossing. I know @purr1n and @Bill-P play, too.

We need SBAF shooter group. Something like Insurgency Sandstorm or Battlefield (too bad BF sucks now, but hopeful for BF6). Insurgency is great though.
