Post a picture of your car(s) and why you own them or what you like about them. Exterior and interior shots are game, as many pictures as you want. And whatever you want to say. Including cursing the world for having to own a POS to afford your headphones :)

You might want to blur out your license plate. I don't know why exactly, but people usually on the internet. There are tons of phone apps that will blur sections for you or you can use markover.

    fun!

The last car I owned and to this day my favorite car ever made. I love stations wagons that I can sleep in on road trips, I love utilitarian design, and I love driving and sports cars. This is all 3 in one. Handles like a sports car, is very user oriented, and is long enough to sleep in and carry big photography/video gear for work. And it's one of my favorite looking cars ever made too. Such clean, simple lines.

    2005 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon

I had it in stick shift of course. I had so much fun driving this beast on curvy roads in the hills at night when no one was clogging them up. It's the only car I've ever owned that didn't slow me down, and could keep up with me on the curves.

The only thing I didn't like was the gas mileage which wasn't great but what can you do, can't have everything. I wish I still had it.

Lots of mods were done by the previous owner. New wheels, removal of the grill, clear signal lights on the front.

Just happened to snap this recently before going inside for a concert. It is a fairly ordinary VW Polo GT TDi, although it was top of the range here in India. It is 6. I bought it, aged 2, after my previous car, also a Polo (prettier, and cooler, in a nice shade of icy blue, but less power) got filled up with filthy flood water at the tender age of 4.

In international terms, a 105BHP hatchback is barely worth mentioning, but it is me that slows it down, rather than the other way around.

Nice looking car! It looks fun to drive. And easy to park. I imagine from my time in India that having a small car is a great asset there for get through crowded streets. I would own an Enfield as well though :)

Some more love for old Subarus here.

Living in and around NYC, we've had little need for a car. But in 2016, we bought this ca. 2000 Outbreak Legacy beater from a friend (for less than the price of an LCD-X). It managed to get through the inspection and served us well for a couple of years, until its catalytic converters needed replacing, and since this model had two of them, the replacement parts alone were worth more than the car. We gave it to a charity.

The guys who collected it let me have one final, farewell blast on the accelerator, up on to the trailer.

We named it Sunbeam. It was a great car. It made it nearly as far as the moon.

Is that a Cooper S on the bottom? Buddy of mine had one of those in high school.

a man who knows what he likes! Hmmm it’s the same with headphones ;)

I drove s mini once and I literally felt like I was driving a go cart. I’m sure I would get used to it though. And then I bet it would be really fun.

Many years ago, I knew a guy who was training to be a fighter pilot in the RAF. One day he gave a couple of us a ride in his Mini Cooper down a bunch of twisty roads out in the countryside. It was an exhilarating, terrifying experience. We probably didn't get above 70.

I love that generation of Subarus. I had a 99 Subaru Brighton (the snipped down model with manual window cranks and a sitck but no rpm gauge, etc.) It handled great and took me across the country many times and many more adventures.

Subaru's decison to stop making wagons and make all SUV's makes me so angry. I now have no current production car that I could buy. And it was a worse decision than Sennheiser dropping their beloved house sound of the HDxx and going full on Beyer and God knows what with the HD700. It would be like Mini Cooper dropping the small cars and making big bloats. Subaru had a very solid customer base, probably the most loyal of any car company. In 2008 during the financial crisis and right before they started dropping all their wagon CARS and replacing them with SUV's, they were the only car company to grow that year. Any intelligent business would take that as a sign. Yet they abandoned all those customers and now compete in a market that is the most saturated of any in the car market - SUV/SUV Crossover. I see far fewer Subarus on the road now than I used to. I wish I was a billionaire and could buy them from Toyota and put them back on track.

Used to be an Image Dynamics audio type thing. No association, just was friends with them at the time. Eric also had an E36 that he won with IIRC. Then stripped it and did the boy-racer thing and now it just chills and waits for when I want to go back to learning. As you can see, it was born without the factory LTW wing, it is currently the only non-authentic body part on it. Everything is currently euro-spec minus the OG motor. It's got schrick sticks and all the other obd-1 tricks. The wing is a 1:1 replica of the factory LTW piece made by a company called UUC Motorworks - my rear section of exhaust is also from them with the "DTM" style tips that were popular during the BTCC / DTCC. I think the inline 6 sounds beautiful. I'm sure my neighbors think it's some sort of LS1 thing.

Agreed, it was a terrible decision, and they were great cars. I love it when I get chance to go out west and you still see a bunch of those old Subarus, especially in rural areas. They had great, reliable drivetrains. Now the Subaru SUVs are gaining a reputation for crapping out after 90-100,000 miles. My buddy saw the writing on the wall - he was watching his Outbreak's value about to go off a cliff - and unloaded it. I bet you won't be seeing a bunch of today's ones on the road in 15-20 years' time.

They wouldn't let me use my username. "Too long," they said, the pedantic, bureaucratic bastards.

Finally, this is the DD. It's still essentially the same, but different body parts from the JCW catalog and other quality aftermarket parts. It makes 260hp at the wheels (basically modded to the max of the slightly modded stock blower), but it's basically like driving my old 99 Civic Si... just hold the pedal to the floor and ride it to the limit.

It started out life as a 1000cc Cooper and ended up as a 1275GTS with twin SU carbs. 1972 vintage, was my mother's, both my older brother and I learned to drive in it. He took it to the military and blew the engine, I bought a 1275 engine for it and drove it to uni, I gave it back to my mother when I left the country and today my nephew drives it.

    My niece owns this beaut.

Stage 2/FBO Mk7 GTI Sport on corn juice, and a pic of it next to my old '91 Toyota P/U on 40s. Sold to a buddy who's keeping it running/banging it off of rocks and trees. I'll see if I can find a pic of my old Volvo 850R.

I cross shopped the GTi, Speed3, Speed6, another M car (MZ3 clown shoe / MZ4 the disaster after) and the 05 facelift + 6-speed + JCW = quite a bit of fun. It's being very Germanic right now, and quite frankly all three are fussy little fellas. I've been wrenching since before I could drive. 1st car was an Isuzu Impluse Turbo (89, Suspension "Tuned by Lotus". Boy would I kill for a RWD inline-4 turbo with LSD and a reverse flip hood. Lemme facebook dive into some old photos.. Don't @me on the ricer status... it was the 90's man, cut me some slack.

Not my actual car pic, but that's my car in its base LX Trim: 2015 Honda Fit

Very boring ass car to drive. I had to get it back in 2015 since my dad wanted my old beater and I needed another car. Issue was that I wasn't making high income and I could only afford a subcompact. Used prices of Fits wasn't that much better than a new one, so I went new. Gas was less than $2.00 a gallon so everyone was buying SUVs/Crossovers and not subcompact hatchbacks. I got this sucker out of the door for $18,000 with tax. Now they don't sell the Fit/Jazz in the US anymore, lol.

Have it for over six years old and only have 45,000 miles on the engine. Paint sucks and it gets dings easy and crap. Driving experience is also boring and being a subcompact it won't hold shocks on the road well. However, the engine is still great and so is the transmission. Being in FL where it is just about flat and highway culture makes the Fit just good enough for my needs. I can't stress how boring the driving experience is, but it is the ultimate point A to point B car. Not having a car payment is super nice, even if I want a better/bigger car since I feel cramp at times in the driving seat. One nice thing of the Fit (including the upper hatchback cousin the HRV) is you can fully remove the backseats for tons of cargo space. I have my backseats fully down, which gave me plenty of room for storage, back seat sex, and so much more.

I love the old gen Subaru, but I know why they went in the direction they did (plus getting rid of stick and real Turbo options). $$$$ Even in FL where AWD is useless, there's tons of Crosstreks, Outbacks, Foresters, etc. Hell, even the main Subaru dealer in Jacksonville was the top Subaru dealership in the whole country by Subaru themselves since they keep selling more and more each year. The local Subaru dealership can't keep up with orders on even some of the higher end trims.

The modern Subaru isn't for everyone, but for me since I am a boring driver I'm looking at either the Outback or Forester as my next car in Premium trim. Leather seats in FL is a bad idea, so I deal with cloth seats. I kind of like the Outback since it is just a Legacy Wagon but lifted up (which honestly I'm pissed that Subaru don't sell the regular Legacy Wagon in the US). Also I heard Outback is a smoother ride on the road, which is great for me since most likely I'll be doing 100 miles roundtrips on the highway daily in the future. The extra storage on the back of the Outback gives me room to put so much shit that I need.

Subaru still sells the Impreza Wagon, the local Subaru dealership keep selling them as soon as they come in, lol. As much as I want a nicer Outback....I just hate a f'ing car note. Watch when my next car is another boring ass Honda.
