WiFi works at home I think because the Pi2 is within 4 feet of the modem. Won't work at meets though.

    Vibration alerts can be enabled.

Not very. There are multiple reasons. Two major ones:
    1) Attempting to sense an extremely small modulation using reflectance photoplethysmography on a wrist band subject to large modulations from limb motion.
    3) Averaging filter must be extremely long to cope with the noise. Transient events will be missed, and those detected will severely underestimate the level of hypoxia.

Dynamic performance requires much higher sample rate and shorter filter lengths. Ear, finger and toe sensors with a person remaining still during measurement will achieve greater accuracy.

I use a CPAP machine, I've recently been getting notifications from the company who supplied my device and prescription about something called BongoRX which is a passive device, appears to be nose plugs. https://airavant.com/
Not being a doctor I can't tell you whether this is effective, or the right device for your condition, however it may be worth you taking a look.
When I did my sleep study it was at home which I found helped with the discomfort and inconvenience. Worth keeping a bucket by the bed to piss in though :)

Hi! Could you recommend amp-DAC combo/ separate for HD 660s? Budget under $500, but the lower the better. Not looking into tubes atm. Thanks!

I used the Senn 600s with the ifi Zen Dac and Zen Can and liked it very much. Fits the budget as well. Much better amp than my than my way more expensive Musical Fidelity.

My iPhone headphone adapter has gradually shit the bed. Occasionally it wouldn't work but replugging it generally fixed it. Now it almost never works regardless. This is an older iPhone X. Is it likely the adapter failed or an issue with the Lightning jack? I don't want something bigger like an ifi Go, but there are non-Apple alternatives that are MFi. Or just buy another Apple one?

EDIT: blew into the Lightning port then had a look - didn't look bad at all. Tried my original headphone adapter and it worked just fine. So duh, must have been a bit of something in there that was the problem.

Lightning ports in phones can develop loose connections albeit somewhat rare. I’ve only experienced one iPhone. Since the lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter is only $9, it’s probably worth trying a new one to determine if the problem was the old adapter or the lightning port, before investing in anything more expensive.

Doesn’t hurt to dig out pocket lint from the lightning port as a first check too.

in my case it was sawdust and a samsung galaxy... but same thing. Adapters wouldn't work without reinserting multiple times... and eventually stopped functioning altogether. Took it in to get looked at and they pulled a bunch of packed sawdust out of the port. My taking out/reinserting just kept packing it down until eventually the pins didn't make contact anymore.

The outpatient one I did, they would come in and help you get up for the bathroom HA HA HA.

Thank you for the suggestion, I am seeing a few new specialists and we will be doing a little more testing. I'll be doing the Halter device for 2 weeks to monitor my heart - going and doing some asthma testing and maybe a little bit of autism testing HA HA HA - find out where "M3NTAL" came from :)

I am waking up feel like my throat is closed so I have to toss and turn back and forth.

@M3NTAL My Wife and both my kids have Autistic Spectrum Disorder diagnosis, the wife and eldest kid have ADHD diagnoses too :) . We all have depression and anxiety and are on some form of medication. I'm sure I'm on the spectrum too, my obsessions with audio, bicycles, model tanks and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and lack of filtering in conversations suggest I'm well up there.
We considers ourselves simple variations on normal in our house.
Sleeping properly really helps with the depression though. The kids ADHD meds combined with a good single malt whisky help too
Hope it all goes well for you.

Thank you very much for your well wishes. My mom always kept me active and in random programs - so it probably was the best help I could get with integration and communicating. She told me I was saying the F' word around 3 years old and using it properly. :)

Are these discord meme "hospital grade" power cables worth $15 or do they just end up making things worse? They advertise that they are "14 AWG pure copper" wire.

And are these, also, discord recommended, OCC RCAs any good? The price is right...

Funny you mentioned these cables... A few days ago i did a brief shootout with 3 WBC cables all 3' long, all "directional", all with Amphenol RCA's vs my non "directional" Blue Jeans/Belden cables.

    My chain was Pi2AES via AES--> Modius E--> DIY Cinemag 15CMLI XLR/SE converter--> SW51+--> HD600

    IMG_1688.jpeg

The Gotham were the most bass tilted in the chain, the Mogami were the brightest and most detailed (very very similar to the Blue Jeans), and the Canare were somewhere in the middle. I kept the Canare to compliment the Blue Jeans. The noise floor at full volume with no music playing was very similar between all cables in this setup, even the non-directional Blue Jeans...

I have always been intrigued by the so called sound difference between cables, and this was my first chance to get cables by way of scumAzon with all the same parameters except the actual cables themselves.

    ...and don't forget kids
    IMG_1689.jpg
I burned in each cable with a grand total of 5 seconds before listening began...

Thanks for sharing, @JK47! Do you have any idea what the underlying wire in these actually was (i.e., the specific model # from the wire manufacturer)?

I have a couple of the WBC RCA's with mogami 2964, but I know they also use 2497... so it will be interesting to hear which cable the impressions are based on.

I think they only use Canare L-4E6S... not sure about Gotham, but when I picked up the Mogami ones I also order the Gothams and ended up returning them. They were too heavy sounding on the Studio B

What's the XLR to RCA converter you are using? How come you're using this? I get background noise from my source and going balanced would solve this..
