The new one is the metal one with a black plate. It was quite affordable.

    Looks good!

Say, is that a _pocket watch_?

Yes, I want to have that little clock fixed. I like it but I cannot really explain why.

I'm also a fan of pocket watches. I own a Tissot pocket watch I purchased back in college. I found the loud ticking sound quite comforting when I worked late at night in the lab.

Wow, guys, I guess I always thought the "pocket" referred to in pocketwatch was a pocket on one's clothes, not in the sigmoid colon!

    I'm sticking with wrist watches!

Here are some pictures of the watch I dropped about a foot onto a hardwood floor. The case is talantalum, so very hard and the solid 18k movement is fairly robust...apparently! It comes with a dark blue strap that I like better than the pictured tan one.

It's the FP Journe Chronometre Bleu.

It's just so nice in real life.
I actually like it in person as well or better than the FPJourne on page 1 of this thread. Yet, when I walked out of the boutique, I could imgine the other one on my wrist and I can't quite see this Chronometre Bleu, although it's a super versatile watch.

I have a black Rado Jubile with the blue sapphire crystal that I would like to sell. It's about 25 yrs old. Where is the best place to figure out what it's worth?

Try chrono24 or ebay to see what something like your watch is selling for. Then, subtract for condition, etc.

thanks @Cryptowolf ! I am not exactly sure of it's age, but since it was the first watch worn on the moon I am guessing it as at the very least 30 years old. I do not know if any restoration has been done to it, but it looks great considering it's age.

Here's a Kenneth Cole skeleton, my first automatic (has a rotor, winds itself with the motion of your wrist).

Hi, it's a co-axial (which is well-worth reading about, it's a revolutionary thing in watchmaking). So, not 30 years old as Omega put its first co-ax out in 1999, I believe. Your watch is a tribute to what was indeed the first watch on the moon, except yours has an awesome newer movement inside.

Like cryptowolf said, it's a nice chronograph. Wear it with pride.
