Now that is a spider cage.

Interesting, but I think it'd be a risky to play "early adopter" on these. Don't understand the impetus for planar IEMs, personally. Doesn't seem like the tech's strengths would translate very well when confined to a miniature form factor. Just talking out of my ass, though.

I wondered if these would drop today. It's a pass for me. I just bought jh13 pro v2 yesterday, so I'm set for iem.

I did hop on the audeze website to check these out. B-stock listed in support of Autism Speaks. Very cool.

Ha ha, no way! That has to be joke. Where did you see that? The product page on Audeze's site doesn't seem to be active yet. I just get redirected to the B-stock sale, which I don't see these listed under.

Edit: Delayed apology for the dunce comment. In my defense, it was early.

Whew, sorry. I thought you were seeing something that I wasn't, which made me wonder. It would be typical of Audeze to develop in-ear boat anchors. :p Lightness does seem to be a concept that they've (belatedly) embraced with the SINE series, however.

Damn, is that an open design? THAT would be crazy for an IEM. Also a huge no-no for most people.

No worries. If the past is any guide, that one will probably sound the shittiest. ;)

In any respect an awkward device.
Big (clumsy), open back? (leaking), inside your ear (discomfort) and planar (...).

Audeze: For when your IEMs absolutely positively have to look like Peter Parker came on them.

If the LCD-i3 was $1000-$1500, I’d pass, but if it’s $2500+, then I’m in. Can’t wait to order a pair! And I can’t wait for all those true unbiased reviews on HF from those who will receive a free review sample (it's the only people you can trust), or from those—mostly Asian (and I do NOT mean any disrespect to Asian people)—who, like me, will soon be raving over these phones.

I know it’s early days but, can someone please recommend a ~$3,000+ aftermarket cable for these ‘babies’?

Wow, mrweirddude's joke really set a few people off, kudos to him.

As for Audeze, I'm always happy to see innovation for iems. Not sure an open-air tie-figher-wing thing is going to be a hit, though.

Maybe if it's really good at reproducing tie-figher sound effects?

Coining the term "On-ear in-ear monitor" for crap like this.

What a guy! Smiling through the agony, a true professional. But you can see the pain in his eyes...
