    @bazelio's thunderbolt enclosure setup guide here.

    Lynx AES16-->AES--[transformer]--BNC->Gungnir Multibit

    Objective: To get better sound from using computers as a source for DACs
    Verdict: This is so natural sounding without losing a beat that I have no words
    Note: Somebody has been playing their cards close and holding out on us

    As instructed per expert computer audiophools, reduced buffer size. Some PCs may not like this. I was lucky I guess. Lower buffer increases Gaurav factor.

    Just when I thought I was set...I'll have to look into this. BTW, Jodie is the best shit I have bought, and I've had some good Schiits in my life. I'll post impressions after my brain regains composure.

    Will order RedNet. Will have a battle. When the RedNet arrives, I'll grab a Mutec again. We'll mix it up and try different combinations. Maybe head up to the Bay Area. Will compare to CD transport tomorrow. This makes a difference. It's not different. It's better.

    We're on. I'm due up there. Didn't have a chance to go up this summer because I was on my USA SouthWest mystery tour.

    Gaurav factor high on this (relative for digital of course).

    I didn't want to post until I had the E22 working with Linux. I've been using it in Windows and with the baby I haven't been able to troubleshoot. I'm usually so tired I pop something on and take a listen. I don't have time to tweak :)

    I've been saying good things about the AES16e as I got one too...

    You can make your own cable for it instead of using that heavy, messy snake cable. If you wants the parts list, I can post it.

    Please don't listen to us. This is crazy stuff. You do not want to go down this road. We are crazy. Buy a membership to a gym or a bunch of dumbbells and a pull up bar. Build speakers. Buy ten expensive Lego sets. Don't do this.

    Wow, @Marvey . I just installed the Lynx E22 in a Thunderbolt expansion chassis and I'm playing Audirvana+ on my Mac.... I'm going to hold back a bit here until the South Bay Audio Trust can convene and confirm... But I can't hold back saying: Stick a fork in USB. It's done for me. And the Utopes aren't even here yet!!!

    EDIT: I'm going MBP -> Thunderbolt -> E22 -> AES -> Yggdrasil -> ZDS -> HD600

    Chassis cover removed from my Lynx box next to the MBP:

    We can have a meet up at my place, do some comparison on the speakers with these this and people can bring a T3 and whatever as well.

    Why use the BNC adapter? It'd be better to go straight AES.

    edit: derp, nevermind, I thought it was Yggdrasil not Gungnir Multibit

    I use it with Vi DAC FWIW so I don't need an adapter.

    Yeah right? I've got HD650s boxed in another room, but I'm too lazy to remove the Sony MA900s to grab them. Upon the first two seconds, I knew this was special.

    Yeah, but I get Galvatronic isolation with transformers

    I mean, to be fair, the AES input is also the best input on the Vi DAC so it might just be using the better input.

    At the end of the day, I felt like the card bridged the gap between my CD transport over USB and my computer rig.
