FWIW more music is played in our house streaming from YouTube via BlueTooth to the mediocre living room system than anything else. But the family loves it, so who am I to argue? Convenience rules.

There comes a time when audio needs to start working for you and not the other way around.

I now have a Kenwood AS-BT77 to use with my phone and laptop, and have been tempted to take my headphones wireless or even drop the system entirely. My whole stereo system is on a remote socket switch, and controlled by one programmable remote for the various boxes.

Ever since Pi2AES and work at home my system have seen tons of use actually! Except for the speaker rig; unfortunately my sister doesn't like listening to Sinatra while studying for her accounting exams.

Would likely sound even better with the Focal Stellia. The colors of the Stellia better match the colors in that video. Better synergy.

yep, @Biodegraded, at this price, ill just get my own brand new verite seriously.
ZMF in Canada is ridiculously rare, therefore they lose almost no value in the used market. Fun for original buyers though!

Im convinced that the lack of distributor within Canada has to deter so many Canadian buyers. the uncertainties of the custom "taxes" makes importing any 2.5k USD product extremely stressful.

Thing is, I use Funk and Soul in general because sometimes the bass lines are very subtle, hinting even. When you learn to listen carefully you want to hear the bassist plucking his strings (so to speak) and the resulting bass notes/sounds. Old Rock & Roll is also excellent for that. Some early Rock still had wooden bass guitars. Render those right and you have a winner sound system.

As one having all the three for months and selling two later, I'd say once addicted (tricky learning curve), no contest -- Verite surely better in all aspects. With typical diminishing return curve in mind, I still think it worth. Verite is the only survived pair in my place in the end.

I always say Auteur is a safer bet though.. All the benefits brought to the table immediately recognizable.

The power, the presence, the variety of sounds, the dynamic range, the melodic and harmonic stuff... nothing to beat it.

I'm sorry that I've seen so few live orchestral performances in my life. Although I have been to a couple of biggies, eg Mahler's 2nd.

Hey Murphythecat, the big Amphions are decent. They were a little v-shaped and lacked midrange detail and dynamics but were coherent sounding. Marshall guitars didn’t pop/honk outta mixes like they should but the bigger Amphions were still the only legit things. Everything else there was butt.

No. Brit-fi gets that sound through cab resonances rather than veiled woofers. If that's what you want, you'll hate the bigger Amphions. Check out ATC for that British sound done tastefully. If you want big, powered Sennheiser 600/650, go Neumann, preferably bigger than the 120. They have the Sennheiser warmth and veil you want :)
