I'd rather help out the environment. Breaking even eventually is nice. All I know is that my wife gasses up her Prius twice a week instead of once a week and half as much gas...7 gallons instead of 14 or so.

The nice thing about the CRV hybrid is it’s only $1k extra. Will make that up in savings in 2 years tops. But I’m going to pass on the hybrid, solely because it has no room for a spare tire. I’ve been on the side of the road a few times and not having a spare is a deal breaker. The regular CRV has a spare though.

We test drove a bunch of cars, but only two of them fit rear facing car seats well. The Subaru Forester and Honda CR-V (non hybrid). Trying to decide between the two. I really liked the features and drive of the Subaru.

Living room couch recommendations? Don’t even know where to start. Found a LaZBoy sofa+loveseat for $2100 but no idea if that’s a good deal.

While not cheap (and I think more expensive that when I got mine), I am still enjoying a Lovesac ensemble that we have had for a few years now. Completely modular if flexibility is important. https://www.lovesac.com/sactionals.html Otherwise, I would take a look at more local furniture places as most of the big box furniture stores are of very inconsistent quality.

I went through this last year and ended up getting a couch from a Room and Board outlet store. It was more expensive but still a deal relative to usual prices there, and I believe it's actually made in NC. The quality shows in part b/c it's damned heavy.

On the other side of the coin, I have a love seat from Ikea that's still going strong after three years.

We bought a LaZBoy reclining couch almost 4 years ago and it's still amazing. We sat on every single couch at the store till we found the one we liked the most, took about 3 hours but well worth it.

When I was a kid I got part way through learning the violin. That put me off wanting to try to learn anything else, which I've always kinda regretted. Now I'm retired, maybe it's time - if only to challenge the retiree in the apt directly above me who's learning the trumpet.

It's actually pretty interesting seeing their FR, like a U/V-shape but accentuations are shoved to the extreme ends so it actually looks kinda flat sans an upper-mids/lower-treble recession.

Damn I should have started using iOS instead /s

KG4s aren't on the same level as any of the Heritage series. They were one model below the Heresy in the late 80's/early 90's. They have better bass than a Heresy but the mids/highs don't compare. But if you can pick them up cheap they could be fun or a decent enough HT speaker. I don't think $400 is low enough to try. Closer to $300 might do it though.

Almost @Hrodulf. Modern PA speakers have the treble horns cranked to push. Some up by 10-12db. That is why they can sound so bad in small rooms close up. At least Heritage Klipsch are mostly flat at 1m. They still roll off fast below 100 and will most certainly need a sub.
