    Funny aside: back in the very early days of my relationship with my current GF, I thought it would be a good idea to introduce her to my audio affliction through a little session listening to Carrie and Lowell before I'd actually heard the album... luckily, I read a couple reviews first and kinda nix'ed that idea. Better to start with something a little less emotionally demanding....

    As others have mentioned, the amp is last on and first off because in the event of a voltage spike/thump/whatever from one of your source components, you don't want that being amplified through your transducers.
