None that I'd say are worth traveling from one side to another. Generally there's a decent pub near wherever you're staying.

Edit: Pubs tend to owned by brewers and Founder's does have one near the Tate Modern if you're familiar with their stuff, but again I would only bother if I was already nearby.

Yes, racing is a lot of effort. Nothing on the car is assisted so the steering is heavy because of the 12" front slicks, the clutch is stiff, and the brakes require a lot of pressure. Even the shifting is hard with an old style balk ring transmission. That blue Cayman that is around me the whole race has power steering, power ABS brakes, paddle shifter with no clutch, and air-conditioning!

Then factor in the mental fatigue....

There is supposed to be a modest but evident bump in sound quality over the 6X5 and Bendix 5852 tubes I have been using. I can still use those tubes with the mod. I have a couple of 1950’s NOS Sylvania 6BY5G tubes arriving Thursday.

The 6BY5G tubes showed up a day early. There is indeed improvement in sound quality...especially at lower sound volumes. There is better separation and isolation of instruments and voices along with a fuller sound. The fuller sound part is especially evident at lower volumes as the music does not lose as much life as you turn down the volume. Not bad for a easy mod and cheaper rectifier tubes!

Well, my first experience with the DirectStream was Redcloud. I think that was the 6th or 7th release. In my system I compared it to my Yggdrasil and Yggdrasil lost and it wasn't really all that close. Snowmass is better yet. As Torq likes to point out, it is pretty smart of PS Audio to take advantage of field upgrades.

I couldn't care less about Paul. He seems nice enough even if he is a bit nuts. I am not buying Paul, I am buying a DAC.
