@jexby Tripped while running on a slight downhill and fractured two of the metacarpals. Wasn't too bad, fully healed in ~4 weeks. But now I'm a bit apprehensive about outdoor running especially since the better trail near me is on a hill.

On a different note - I haven't looked up the standards and I have almost 0 knowledge of the nuances of circuit design with vacuum tubes, but just based on general EE knowledge - I too am a little surprised that not having the 5th part of the 4.4mm balanced pin grounded would kill the device. Sure, it may offer a lower noise floor or slightly increased performance. Anyone else on SBAF happen to know the answer?

@fp627 Based on the conversations I've had here and elsewhere I am almost certain that there is no technical reason for needing the 5th pole especially for low voltage line outs such as those found on portable devices. If I were to hazard a guess it would be that Woo seriously skimped on the design of the WA11 and want to keep that a secret.

Years ago I had a conversation with Jack about the WA5's lack of protection so this wouldn't be entirely new to them. And they do blame the cable a lot only to be called out on it this time.

@Lyander The old Grado models are better than the new stuff. I also had the RS1 way back when it was kind of difficult to find DAP-friendly cans. A lot of it is also probably just availability and sentimental value. I have a similar soft spot for Ultrasone because that's what I started out with back in 08/09.

Haven't gotten ears on the e-generation RS series, but if they're more sensibly-tuned than the early buttonless RS1 I had (didn't know much about measurements around then) then damn.

One of my FedEx guys was here yesterday, said that the Monday was his most insane day yet. Everyone's trucks were filled to the brim, long hours to get everything done. The following day lots of people called in sick since they overworked themselves. And then that also caused delays. Be nice to your delivery drivers.

@ChaChaRealSmooth I almost never sell CIEMs because of how little they go for, the exception is when the factory offers reshells. But I can't help thinking that if I bought the universal I could always sell them to back out most of the cost. I really like the Titan and I like the idea of supporting Suyama's weird ideas but if I fall out of love with them they're pretty much a pair of expensive paperweights.

@Zhanming057 if you have tracking proof that the returned item was delivered, Amazon should process the refund within 14 days since delivery day. If they still lag, just chat with a representative online and tell them that it's already passed 14 days. Highly recommend talking online over the phone as well. It's faster and more efficient

@netforce typhoons bring temperature drops and really clean air up from the South China Sea, so it's more comfortable in some ways. The downside is massive amounts of rain (which can cause minor landslides out in the countryside.)
