Nice, after college I might refresh my computer, getting a bit old with RX480 and i5-6400, though still capable. Problem is my monitor is 3840x1600, so hard to run games at higher settings
Wait, I also just got a 3080 and an Aeron...(No joke!)
Not sure the Aeron is for me, though. Didn't care for the Leap (cushion too thin) or Gesture. Have tried a few other random chairs. Wondering if I should test the Embody.
Coming from an i7 7700k and a GTX 1080ti myself, going to use the 3080 in here for now and then build a new system with the 5900X when it arrives. BH sent me an email yesterday saying late December.
I tried the Embody and several Aerons at a dealer. I went in assuming I was going to get the Embody and left buying the Aeron. The armrests weren't great on Embody and didn't find it too comfy.
I'm 6'3" and 220lbs or so. I have yet to find a chair that just works. It's either the cushion isn't comfortable, usually too thin to the point my sitting bones dig straight into the frame, or the back isn't comfortable.
Usually lumbar support seems to sit too low, but sometimes it's an issue with the sides of the back squeezing me or not enough height, causing issues with my upper back or causing too much leaning back.
Even the Aeron's adjustable lumbar, on a size C chair, sits just a bit too low at its highest point. Not sure I get enough support without it.
Leap V2's back was nice, but the cushion just did not hold up. The Gesture's seat was nice, but it's lumbar support sat too low and applied too much force at the side of the seat back, thus into my side, rather than against my back itself.
I might also be uncomfortable in general due to my mattress. Wife and I have very different preferences, and currently I'm on too soft of a mattress for my body type and sleeping preferences. So, new mattress coming in as well. And I need to start exercising...
Hilariously, a 3080 and a Sayl arrived on Friday. My wife is petite (5'3" 100lbs) and I'm not (5'10", 175lbs) but I can be comfortable sitting on anything. For petite ppl, the Sayl is awesome & adjustable arms + seat depth are enough for us to switch back and forth easily.
I didn't try the Sayl when I was at the HM dealer, kinda regret not doing so for mostly curiosity sake. I honestly bought the 5900X as a knee jerk reaction when BH had the orders up a night before launch. Couldn't really justify the 5950X for my uses and thought I should do a little overkill. Realistically, I probably would have been fine with a 5800X as an upgrade over my i7 7700k
