I think he just meant in the sense that a gorgeous secondhand Auteur keeps getting price drops and nobody's buying, which would never have happened a year ago.
Zach and Bevin make great, artisanal hp's, and I'm sure they'll continue to bring cool stuff out. Everyone's always trying to be the new hotness. ZMF seem to do especially well with their stabilized wood models.
Agree this is really odd, ZMF are still fantastic (both the headphones and people). I'm curious what people are moving on to? Or is it gear cycling for flavor variation?
Cancelled? My Blackwood Auteur has been my favorite and primary headphone since 2017. Absolute fantastic headphone. I see them sell for higher than they are sold here from time to time.
Yeah, Zach and Bevin are cool, and they let me hang out at their house and listen to headphones and amps for a solid afternoon. They work hard, deserve success, and I'd say they'll continue to have it. So... cancelled? Or losing steam? FoTMs come and go, sure, but I'd say ZMF are in it for the long haul. I don't need another pair of HPs at the moment, but would gladly own Auteur or Veritie along with the classics.
One of these days I would love to go to ZMFestivus and try the whole line next to each other. They are beautiful and I would love to have one again. Finally (as in last week) just got all tube amps in order and sounding great.
