Talking about my past universal Angie...

+ A relatively neutral sound that can be dialed from bass-light to bass-heavy, while not interfereing other parts annoyingly
+ Quite resolving to my ears, with reproduction of guitar only paralleled by UERM

    - JH build quality is shit. Mine lost the whole right channel, and according to the local dealer 5 out of 6 sold by him had some build quality issues. Look at the HF Layla&Angie thread to see more amusing defections.
    - Bass dial in left&right channels are separated.
    - Fit disaster

If JH could have made sure the build quality was solid AND the fit right, Angie could have been a good contender of TOTL universal IEMs.

JHA appears to have fixed their Angie carbon fiber weave issues. No idea if this includes addressing the issues mentioned above.

Most authorized sellers will sell below msrp if you email and ask them.

I ended up selling due to long term fit. The universal large housings caused pain over 45 minutes, due the large housings rubbing and applying pressure to my ears. I think I'm in the minority on that, at least it seems so on the HF thread.

Otherwise SQ is fantastic IMO. It's a really nice midcentric take on a neutral sig. Its weakness is that the treble rolls off early. Otherwise the midrange is very resolving and engaging and I enjoyed being able to dial in bass to my tastes and preferences. Bass texture was excellent too. I felt it a nice compliment to the UERM, which is slightly laid back in midrange and has better extended and resolving treble. Kind of two sides to the neutral coin. I wouldn't mind revisiting in custom form at a later date.

I'm not sure carbon fiber weave has anything to do with channel muting either. I'm also doubtful if JH have fixed their arse (wait time for their customs, custumer support).

I hate to use the word but for the sake of my lacking audiophile vocabulary, I find Angie to be the most emotional universal IEM I've ever encountered. Purely in sonics, I place it the first of universal IEMs I've tried. I agree much that it's a nice compliment to UERM, which does sound clinical from time to time.

I thought this was a big-sounding/euphonic complement to the UERM sound sig as well. Was happy in quick listening at Wikia HQ (thank you Jude!) to hear this tuning and have been wondering why it is so hard to find this sound sig. However, the housings are huge and I am just confirming with FitEar TG!334 that I just don't like universals (tips/outward pressure). Would like to hear more IEMs go in this tuning direction though.

I actually really liked the sound of these, but it's been a while and I didn't have my UERMs to compare. I still think the price is super high, but my JH16s had a great fit.

I have a pair I may be selling used. I love them but presently am listening to Heir Audio IEM 8.0 and need to fund my next gear.

    These are pretty decent.

My favourite among the roxx, angie and layla.
