i know late reply but, will do soon. just recently moved and been settling in. i actually finally got most of my speaker stuff set-up so far. once i buy another sub i'll put pics up (plan on buying the JBL SRX 828's, passive dual 18'' sub and retuning it. houses 2 jbl 2279's which are basically ferrite/ceramic versions of the 2268's. the 2269 is slightly is modified 2268 so the 2268 and 2279 should have some crazy excursion ability. i think the 2268/2279 has a 23mm xmax which is insane). i should be getting the other sub within a week or 2 depending how i feel after my next treatment which is in a couple days but, i will get pics up one day. i don't have the prettiest set-up since my is old ripped-out theater gear but, i think it sounds great.

I feel the placing of that cat could do with some attention. Probably not quite optimal submeeower there.

But hey, I'm just envious! lovely house, lovely speakers, lovely pics. Pretty good cats too!

At my previous place I spent 9 months converting a derelict barn next to the house into a dedicated home cinema/music room. Pretty much went the whole hog, 4 x 18" infinite baffle subs, acoustically transparent front wall, home-made absorption panels suspended from the ceiling, anamorphic projection lens etc etc. The acoustics were wonderful in that room.

Maybe Tekton is not very well known brand. Honestly I bought this pair several years ago because they looked so cute:oops:

Sometimes I feel very ironic that loudspeakers costed a lot less than my beloved headphones that I think a "bargain". I'm talking about absolute total price, not only cost per weight(or volume). Oh well..

Klipsch RP-160M + Pioneer M-22 + Schiit Sys + Parasound DAC-2000. The dealer I bought it from actually recommended the RP-160M over the KEF LS50 that costs more than twice as much, which I did hear side-by-side - I thought the LS50s sounded more refined, but a lot less dynamic, and probably wouldn't have worked as well with a 30W amp.

I wonder if I should bother upgrading the $0.75 speaker cable.

I'm still in the process of moving and unpacking, but I'd had enough of that today and found enough of my gear to set up a quick listening session.

Denon DVD-3910 --> Ragnarok --> KEF LS50 (old The Advent Loudspeakers are used as stands as my old stands did not survive the move). I couldn't get the Aries setup on the new wifi network, so it and the SFD-1 mkII are just sitting there for now. I'll probably end up doing more headphone listening in this place as it's a duplex I'm renting to get my bearings on this side of town before I purchase a home. I'll probably take new shots and post in the turntable setup thread once I get off my lazy ass and set that up.

    Anyway, here's the picture:

Nice! How secure is the whole thing? What are you using at the contact points between units? Cheers :)

Originally I planned to have spikes between the levels, but I ended up using sorbothane bumpers. The bumpers' coating have this adhesive quality to them and keep the tiers from sliding around so it's pretty secure.

Lots of video gear people here probably don't care about so much!

Here's my secondary system that's in my main living area with the TV. I probably won't be doing much serious listening out here, but I thought you lot might still enjoy a look.

I wanted to replace my KEF q100s with something bigger and sexier. So I got a pair of Polk LSIm 703s and KEF r300s.

Here is my desk with the Polks on it, after this I want to try the Philharmonic BMR

Those are the Decware ERR. They're somewhat similar in that there's at least one radial component (the woofer in the ERR's case); however, the ribbon tweeter the ERR uses is mounted facing forward. Here's a picture of a pair without the grills:
