I am also itching for a pp8. The problem is there is no real easy way to get it at a good price because its rarity and thomann won't have it in stock until november. I'm assuming it is less source picky than the andromeda, but the sound difference would have to be big enough to justify selling the andromeda, take the loss, and purchase a PP8.

the new pp8s(mall) is even more appealing to those with underendowed ears like me.

Seriously? Out of stock? I was thinking about ordering for the loaner program.

^ I think we can contact them... maybe? (due back in stock 10/20 according to that site)

Rumbles about this IEM have also made me curious. Came >this< close to getting one myself, but then I remembered Andromeda is tested/verified by ears I can trust so I took the safe route.

It seems the PP8 comes up for sale from time to time on Head-fi, too.

I got one coming in... just because I know a lot of you guys are curious and 258 of you guys in SoCal have a ZX2 Andro/UERM combo. Force tells me this won't be like the A-GD stuff.

I ordered mine from Thomann and waited several months for them to be in stock last year. I guess InEar isn't able to make very many very quickly.

Thomann occasionally gets returns and lists them as b-stock. That is how I bought mine and it appeared all but brand new.

PP8 is the business. It seems pretty agnostic to impendance and sounds great out of an iphone, but scales with gear too.

PP8 with ADI-2 Pro is like, woah...

I've been going back and forth between these and Anrdomeda for some time. It will be nice getting some more impressions from users I can trust.

    Also, loaner FTW!

Would be nice to hear how they sound. I haven't heard a single negative impression about it. An american dealer, Musicteck is in my hometown in NJ, but it is not a store. Its an online business run from a house.

Thomann is cheaper and I had a good experience with them while I lived in Germany. 30 Day no hassle return and 3 year warranty is really nice.

Is MusicTeck carrying them now? They weren't when I was buying. Thomann was cheaper than all the other authorized dealers that shipped to the USA at that time.

I did exactly the same shootout. While I prefer Andromeda treble and W900 bass, PP8 pretty much topped every other category.

If you are a ‘one headphone’ kind of person, as I am, it would be tough to beat.

I would not worry about it. My SD-2 have taken quite a few drops and not a scratch. I would be interested to know how these “drop”out of one’s ear. This has to be THE facehugger of IEM’s. It really sucks into my ears. Not saying it cannot happen though.

He said, "I had them in my ears (not all the way inserted since I was in the office)." So it was misuse, I guess.

Seems like they should survive a short fall like that.
