Is there really an A2 model? I mislabeled one of my older measurements as 'A2' instead of 'A1'. But apart from that, I'm not aware that an A2 model even exists.

Amazon.de has them ,visually both look same. A2 is 5 euro cheaper.

Oh, that must be the non-mic version then! Hifi Walker have always provided a non-mic version of the A1 together with their DAPs, but didn't sell it separately.

I told them months ago that it might be a good idea to offer the non-mic version of the A1 separately, but wasn't aware (until now) that they actually took that advice.

Edit: you can see it from the pics, A1 comes with remote/mic and A2 without it:

It seems very expensive to get those here in Europe. I just took some smaller tips that James recommended in the first post. Would like to try them as many people praise them.

JVC Spiral Dots tend to sound slightly warmer than the cheap "Gel Tips" I recommended. They're definitely great tips, but for the A1 hardly worth the high price you have pay here in Europe.

Decide to replace my microphore tape as it was looking a bit grimy. The original mesh also came off at the same time.
@james444 , you mentioned that the original mesh did not really do anything acoustically. Should I just stick the original 2mm pieces on or use the Soups button mod to protect the drive? No sure how much grime and dirt can really work it's way into the earphone. I assume DD IEMs are a lot less sensitive than BA's?

I've never seen a DD IEM go kaput due to grime and dirt. Personally, I'd just stick the original 2mm pieces on. Of course, Soup's button mod will be fine, too.

I've been playing with these again.

Tried the button mod this time which for me had the big advantage of being able to get tips on without ruining the tape like with the criss cross mod.

Also put some final audio tips on instead of the stock tips and they are sounding better than I remember. Really excellent. Hard to believe how little they cost them given current sound.

Still tempted continuously by the FD01 though...
