@purr1n I remember Shogun and watched it in my childhood, but now I hear in my head something like "i'm in the mood, i'm in the mood fo ban" by John Lee Hooker :D

3 things in life are certain, death , taxes and asking "Are we there yet?" twice on the same trip will get you smacked around. Been there, done that.

I messaged him last night to explain the community is different. But yeah, he didn't take the time to read the "what is SBAF" welcome post.

Shogun aired while I was in high school. Great miniseries.

Sometimes a joke just falls flat. It happens. We can all just move on.

And yes, I remember Shogun, and reading the book. It had quite a hold on a lot of us back then in 1970- or 1980-something.

A stranger walking into a bar full of locals and failing to read the sign, or temperament, is one thing. Impudently telling those locals how they should be, in response to his own failure to respect local mores, is another. Especially if he breaks them again in the next breathe. He’s earned their ire.

So turning the shitshow around to the actual point of this thread, the headline of that last Kickstarter update had me worried, but thankfully it's entirely positive news :)

I'm very impressed with your ability to keep your timeline so tightly, @Garuspik , it's clear that you've done the math and thought things through!

Will the orders be send in order number or by some other way of sorting for example geographical order?

Doesn't really matter, but I understand being anxious to get your hands on them. I'm excited too!

I think he'll be shipping them in whatever order they'll be assembked in, as he mentioned in the latest update that crbon fiber finish headphones should be arriving next week.

From what I gathered the cable connectors are 2,5mm and compatible with headphones of the list below:

Since I need 4-Pin balanced I guess the following replacement cables should fit. This is especially important if you
buy used aftermarket cables. Broader selection means better deals for you:

older Hifiman 2,5mm cables (they changed to 3,5mm now) for HEX v1/v2, HE-1000 v1/v2, HE-560
Sennheiser HD700 - I can personally confirm this now as I'm using a balanced HD700 cable for the Verum as of Feb 8th
    E-MU Teak
    Audioquest Nighthawk/Nightowl
    Oppo PM-1, PM-2
    Monoprice Monolith M1060/M1060c

"Proof" is that quite a few vendors mention compatibility with these headphones in one sentence (e.g. ebay listings), so I guess they should know what they are talking about.

    anything else?

The cable connectors are indeed 2.5mm as confirmed by Garuspik. He will include a SE cable. We would need to get another cable for balanced.

The Monoprice Monolith M1060/M1060c headphones also use dual 2.5mm cables.

My question has nothing to do with being impatient or was not "are we there yet" one
I understand that it is a bit too difficult to understand and henceforth dislikes.

I will make it clearer, anyone backing Mobius remember that it was sent by geographical order and even though it was a great idea and possibly costs saving one it opened an extra can of worms.

I was just wandering if Garuspik gave it a thought or will just play it by ear

To clear this up and keep the noise down, I can tell you that @Garuspik has said on his Kickstarter campaign comments a couple of times that he intended to ship them out in order of backer number. So those that ordered first will get them first.

How do these sound compared to the HE500?

You should refer to the measurements, as they can tell you a lot here. Both are very linear from sub lows to upper mids, and have a lowered "shelf" treble range. The Verum looks like it'll be a little warmer generally speaking, and slightly closer to an Audeze, but all these will have a unique timbre anyway.

So it has the "high end planar" voicing, but with a unique timbre and texture. It's extremely hard to really explain the tonal differences that even slight differences in treble makes!

    Nice! I'm number 58 :)

Is the 3-4 week estimate for the US? I bet I'll get mine before that then ;)

I'm ready to measure, pad roll, and compare with LCD2's with Dekoni elite velour pads. Very exciting!

Numbers 57 and 59 can do that ;)

But seriously, @Garuspik, the way this project has unfolded is almost like it was meant to be!

Well, it was. By you. And you did it. Congratulations, and more best wishes for whatever comes next. Like several thousand more!
