So there's an eagle's nest that's by a river near my place, where the eagles come back to nest every year. Wanted to go see if they were there yet, and saw something in the nest so I got really excited.

Then as I stared at it more, I realized...

    f'ing geese, man.

Heh; wonder how long it'll last. The nest by the Crowchild bridge is occupied as usual by an Osprey - which might supplement its fish diet with upcoming goslings...

If it feels obliged to take out a few of the angry honking sacks of rage, that'd be fine by me.

LOL... nope. Canon 7d mkii. I think all three were with a 70-200 2.8 w/ either a 1.4x or 2.0x extender (the green heron may have had both extenders... it was a pretty soft image)

Hanging at my cousin's house in Michigan's thumb, tons of open space. Very quiet, the air is very clean, and there's many wild animals around.

I always loved flying out of San Diego, vertical joy ride on the way out due to noise abatement. Is the destination a Mexican island?

It is entirely possible to land a plane at Mach speeds. It's called crashing.
