Using a program called Downlink to change the screen background with a weather satellite photo, and the MacBook had some sort of display anomaly.

Phone pic of the MacBook screen.

I sold all my camera stuff shortly after getting to Austin. but a little over a week ago, while in Korea I went and bought some new camera stuff, much better than before. They might be pics of idols, but they're maybe my favorite pics I've taken yet.

I stopped carrying my phone on dogwalks since I moved to a more urban setting. I took this the other morning with the "on call" phone I HAVE to carry sometimes.
(ALL of the pictures I post have no post processing except crop or rotate)

Taken on my Pixel 4, some crop but no color work. On a related subject, I should learn how to do some basic, tasteful editing...

Nice. I was there about the same time (first week of March). Did you stay locally or pass through?

We were staying in Vegas for the last week of Feb-- some friends were getting married (at the Taco Bell Cantina on the strip, it was ludicrous). But we wanted to get out of the city and did a couple day trips in a rented mustang. Got to see Hoover Dam & Red Rock Canyon as well.

It's crazy that they were able to build something so massive in the 1930s, and that it only took 5 years!

In light of the current COVID 19 crisis, I thought I would share this weekend’s project. A little background- I’m the engineering manager for a healthcare organization and the clinical staff are running out of N-95 respirator masks. Even with rationing they’re going through something like 3600 per day because everyone has to wear a mask.

After a lot of back and forth with the clinical and infection control staff, it was decided we could safely sanitize and reuse the masks if we did it very carefully. In this case very carefully meant Engineering and maintenance groups had to build a big stainless steel sauna on wheels as soon as possible with whatever we could find in town. It was a little challenging to get materials and specialty trades with all non essential businesses closed and a weekend coming up.

First we bought a toy hauler and ripped out the floor, built an under floor pan and reinforced the floor with additional joists.

Then we framed out the walls and ceilings and built a wall to separate the ramp from the thermal treatment compartment.

Then we insulated it...I’m the doofus in the yellow jacket.

Then we lined it with stainless steel.

Tomorrow we finish the lining and doors and start on electrical and controls. Should be done by late tomorrow night.

This is one I took a couple years ago. Our Crew had permission from the Columbus Airport to film here. The main subject was a Red Testerosa that one of the other guys was filming. I did this long exposure in the meantime.
