    After much teasing from yours truly, this is finally online! Big thank you to Alex Rosson and @E_Schaaf for making this happen.

    Rules:
    • Limited to friends only (10 members max)
    • Insure to $1300, signature required. Of coursse, FedEx/UPS only. *I'm also going to ask that @E_Schaaf be included in all correspondence about shipping for tracking so that he knows where the headphones are at all times.
    • 5 days per member, impressions required.
    A note to all people who sign up: I will ship this headphone out with the "Marv mod" outlined in the impressions thread here. The little piece of foam/fabric/whatever will be included. This can be placed back if you wish. My advice is to try the headphones out however which way you get them first, and then try the other way if you're the curious type. However, please be careful; this is an expensive item and on the goodwill of Rosson Audio Design. Treat it respectfully and carefully.

    Alex requested the headphone not be modded. Please respect his wishes.

    I would love to get involved and I have been looking for someone to force impressions out of me.(still sitting on like 2 pages of handwritten notes about the AF and elex) This sounds perfect.

    These are with @Clemmaster right now! And then onward from there. Different pair than the ones Marv reviewed - those ended up selling to someone who loved the look of them. Personally I think the current loaner pair looks even nicer. Should sound the same.

    The left ear is cutting off when I turn my head in certain direction.
    I think the connector is loose or something.
    No such problem on the right ear.

    @E_Schaaf : should I send these back to you before they go on a broader tour?

    Annoying! Sorry about that. Happen to have any other 3.5mm (headphone end) terminated cables to be sure it isn't a faulty cable?

    I'll think it over and figure out how best to proceed.

    Actually I had tried my Norne Draug 3 SC first and this one would only work with the plug partially inserted (not fully).
    I switched to the supplied XLR and it was better but I still had to fiddle with it a bit.

    Ill try the 4.4mm to see.

    One can still use it (I did) like this, but I don’t know if it’s gonna get worse overtime.

    It worked fine when lying down, straight. It’s only when turning my head to the right that it would cut off.

    hmm, I could see this becoming an issue as the headphone makes it rounds. My guess is @Clemmaster is the closest to you, so it might make sense to try and address it now, versus when @Vtory is trying to take measurements out in Texas. :)

    If others disagree, I can totally deal with it for demo purposes, just trying to think things through.

    The headphones were returned to Upscale after the defect Clem pointed out. This happened right before shelter in place orders for LA County. I have not yet returned to the office or the RAD lab for a repair/replacement (I'm working from home). So this is on pause until I can do so.
