    SOLD on ebay

Feedback for me as a seller:
US Audio Mart (high dollar transactions): https://www.usaudiomart.com/userfeedback.php?user_id=95342
    eBay: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/m4ss4mun3

This laptop has only been used about 6 months, and has otherwise sat in a box. I purchased it from my former employer when they went bankrupt, and no longer need it. I actually built this config for an engineer who was doing CFD modeling in ANSYS Fluent - so it's about as beefy as can be.

    Product Page: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/think-...nd-energy-industry/ThinkPad-P72/p/22WS2WPWP72

The laptop is In perfect condition other than a scratch in the screen. I have Lenovo coming to replace it under warranty in the next week or so, so this will ship with a brand new LCD.

The screen has been replaced with a brand new unit and it is ready to ship.

I have priced the machine aggressively, as it is top of the line other than the screen (which is 1080p instead of 4K)

If you want to upgrade to UHD, here is the part: https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Lenovo/FRU 01YN100/

Ordered new, direct from Lenovo in August 2018, and still has 17 months warranty remaining. I will include the docking station and a single 230W power adapter.

Ugh, this would be tempting if it weren't for the border in between us...

    Which docking station is it?

It's the Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock (Gen 1), but basically identical to this one:

I will also add that I could probably arrange for a Canadian family member to pick it up south of the border and ship to you domestically, if you're really worried about duties. My Dad runs down south of the border every 6 weeks or so.

You are a vile and evil temptress you know that?

I'd need to think this over. The exchange rate sucks absolute monkey butt right now, and I'm already happy with my T480s, so this is more of a want than a need because I just like new toys. (unless we can haggle with trades partial or otherwise along the way?)

You know, if you had them replacing the screen under warranty anyways, would they do the 4k swap out as part of it?

    What a deal!

My daily driver at work is the P52, which has been just great! My only regret was actually opting for the 4K screen, as:
    • I use it docked 90% of the time so I'm barely using the screen
    • 4K is stupid on a 15.6" (and probably wouldn't do much on a 17" screen either)
    • The touchscreen layer is a few millimetres from the panel, which looks super cheap
    • The contrast is worse than the FHD
    • The battery is at least 40% less
In other words, the lack of 4K screen on this is actually a BLESSING.

    GLWS ;)

I really wish I needed this mini-WS laptop... I wouldn't have to pay shipping!

Ok, sale has fallen through, this is still available.

The replacement LCD is installed, so it now has a brand new screen.

I did ask about paying the difference for UHD, but unfortunately they were not willing to.

I'm listing this on eBay as I don't want to wait a long time to sell.

It's a pretty unusual laptop, due to how beefy it is. Hopefully someone will take it off my hands, but i'm not in a rush so it's sitting on eBay as a backup for now.
