I would be curious as to your thoughts because you have a second gen Metrum. I'm strongly thinking the the Morpheus is more like the first gen Metrums, i.e. Hex, Octave, etc.

I have Octave mkI laying around if you want to compare. I would be surprised if they sounded similar because it uses a "industrial" off the shelf chip.

I actually meant Octave (since the Hex was slightly different). I don't think it's necessary and it's moved on anyway.

Well I would be glad to compare them since a few members have dropped out.

Holy cow, it's not often you see the really old Metrum stuff floating around anymore! Might be fun to whip it out and see how it compares to current DACs.

Arrived several days ago, is through incoming quarantine and warm-up began at 1130 PDT today. Wish to let the DAC have at least 96 hrs of on time before commencing with measurements.

Progress update: 168 hrs warm up time before commencing with measurements. AES input to Bal and SE outputs went smoothly. Amanero Technologies USB ASIO driver 1.0.57 doesn't play nice with dScope nor with many of my other audio programs. Numerous application crashes. Very frustrating. So far many extra unplanned hours dealing with this unfortunate issue. I am creating a work-around but it will be several more days before measurement will be complete. Thank-you @zach915m for your generosity and patience.

Morpheus is now en-route to @Hands
It has been boxed for seven days and by the time it reaches destination probability of C-19 exposure is nearly zero.

I was potentially exposed to Covid-19 by two paths. Individual on first path tested negative; it is a rhinovirus. Twelve days since the second path possible exposure and no symptoms, so 97.5% certain, 99.9% in two more days.
