Man you f'ing stole my list, LOL. The S and A tier I agree except for AD Police Files and Vampire Hunter D. Vampire Hunter D should be A tier while AD Police Files should be B since Episode 2 was kind of a miss for me. Vampire Hunter D was a great adaptation from the first novel (which I read). Also, Black Magic M-66 is not D Tier, it should be C Tier with the late 90s English dub. M.D. Geist should be D Tier but I love it so much because it is awesome for real men with balls who drops, so I put it A on my list.

Once again I wish that Kawajiri can direct anime again, his stuff is great, all of it.

For those who are board of Anime, if you like Space Opera, please watch the original run of Legends of the Galactic Heroes. This is one of the few shows that I watched all episodes and read all the English novels. It's pretty jizzy.

It was struggle to make this list and a lot them were a major debate. But like I said, the focus was on manly factor but S tier it also as to have quality.

I put Black Magic M66 as D tier because while it is pure cool and one of my favorite ovas, it doesn't have enough manly factor. But I nearly put it on B tier just because of cool factor.

MD Giest is so ridiculous that I had to rate it high but definitely so bad its good and for that I love it.

AD Police Files was one of the first mature animes I saw as a kid so it is definitely an A for me.

While I love Vampire Hunter D, it doesn't exude manliness and it looks like animation style from the 70s which I dont care for so that knocked it down to B from A.

Id like to see your list. Lol

Thank you netflix for allowing me to visit Avatar. I would have never seen that otherwise since Nickelodeon was a no-go during that period of my life. I finished the 3 seasons in about a week and right after finishing I made the mistake of watching the movie. It kind of killing my excitement instantly. Didn't think it would be possible, but yeah... It happened.

A really well done series that I wished went on for a couple more to show off a little more of the world and "post vader" Aang. I hear there is another series to watch if I want to see more, but I'm not sure after that freakin' movie.

I'm too drunk and lazy to make a list, so I'm going to steal yours since you didn't Trademark it. Thank you!

It is good. Thing is, how do you explain it?

You don't. You like it or you don't. It is one of those animé series that is richer than it seems. Once you understand the details and references here and there, well you keep watching. That is my take on it.

Binge-watched Isekai Shokudou [Restaurant to Another World] on Netflix (apparently not available in USA which is dumb) recently and enjoyed it. On the whole the food porn is great and you kinda give a damn about the characters even if there's basically no significant growth— the episodes are vignettes only tangentially connected via characters and setting so there's not a lot of dynamism to the pace.

Music is unremarkable, voice acting is about par for course. The animation is generally good but there are a few dips in quality especially in the back half of episode 8 that I'm sure are due to deadlines and enlisting aid from third parties— visual downgrade was very noticeable. Some mild lewdness but nothing R-13+ like Shokugeki no Soma so generally a safe recommendation.

In terms of slice of life fluffy feel I still much prefer the like of Amaama to Inazuma and Barakamon, both of which have more likable characters and notable development as well, but this wasn't bad. It was fun seeing characters from significantly different walks of life interact with one another and the overarching mythos, while bland as hell, adds something to the worldbuilding.

I hear things get more plot-heavy in the source material following the events of the anime, so I'm holding out for a sequel season eventually. It's not great but was nice to turn my brain off to for a spell.

Just bought the "Fist Of The North Star" series on DVD.

My silliest purchase in ages. It will be epic. This summer will be filled with "Tatatatata!" and Japanese quotes about becoming a warrior/assassin.

Tried to keep it to before 2000 to make it easy on me. I made an exception for Highlander because it was same director as Ninja Scroll.

I am almost halfway through Golgo 13 now. This series is awesome. By far the most consideration of ballistics I have seen in just about anything produced as anime and almost as good as the best in movies (Shooter).

Last night I watched the episode with the clip at the top of this page. One of the next ones was very impressive, Golgo going after the scum in Brazil (both gang and govt). Great script. The scenes with the CIA trying to analyze the action via satellite (WTF is going on??) were brilliant.

TV version of Golgo sucks, stick to Manga and the Professional Move/OVA. The animation IMO sucks donkey nuts on the TV Anime.

I try watching some newer anime and I'm like why most of the guys look like ladyboys from Thailand? I wear, I'm not the target audience of most anime anymore.

Is anyone into Osamu Tezuka's mangas? I been reading tons of Black Jack as of late, including some of his one-offs that's available with different publishers.

Also I been rereading the older Viz release of Golgo 13 (picking some of Golgo's story arcs from the last few decades) and some JoJo for strong men with fashion action (and also not really taking it seriously for a shonen).

    That's the point!.

Me myself and I also saw many others drop JoJo because of how ridiculous it was. I failed more than once to finish part 1 :s. It's up til I said "f**k it and just enjoy it god dammit!".

It's truly the anime equivalent of Bollywood lol.

Think of it as a comedy series. Thays what I do!
