WTB a non-hybrid tube amp

Hey guys figuring out that all the tube amps that I've had were hybrids I've decided to try a non-hybrid one (not sure what they are called but I was looking at maybe the bottlehead S.E.X) please send me what you have I'm aiming to spend 500 or less ideally... But we never know maybe there's something special that I would be willing to spend a little extra on.

If you have any more questions just ask me... Sorry, I'm not that good at deciding on amps so any feedback on how would be appreciated too.

Not sure about what you want in a tube amp, your preferences, etc. but if you haven't read the guide to cheap tube amps already, I'd start there.

Otherwise, ZDT Jr if you can find one, SW51 or Bachelor from @Zampotech, or BH Crack if you want to DIY or if someone has one for sale are all good choices for well under $500. Most other stuff I've heard under $500 - which isn't everything out there - is also hybrid or didn't sound that good, etc.

For anything less then $500 below amplifier will do
Find a used ZDT Jr or its Russian brother Laconic Lab night Blue(NBM)

Get Shortest Way 51+ (SW51+) - it has got glowing review from everyone here and you won't find anything better till you reach to level of DNA Starllet

 

If you don't care about bass performance and want something that sounds like a tube amp, get this.

If you want something that just sounds good and not necessarily like a tube amp, get this.

 

Thanks for awesome feedback everyone I looked into the links you gave me. I ended up with a bottlehead S.E.X 3.0 + C4S and nice potentiometer + some nice tubes thrown in there for 425$. I think that’s an amazing deal and thank you to the person who sold me it!
