I have these two sets of headphones for sale that I bought from SBAF members. The reality has sunk in that with a Susvara in the house, they are not going to get much play time. Both are fine specimens of what they are. The prices quoted include PayPal merchandise fees and UPS ground shipping (lower 48 US). I offer return for full credit if you are not satisfied. I pay return shipping if I have misrepresented anything and you pay return shipping if you simply don't like it. In both cases I eat the outbound freight. We ain't making any money here friends.

    Just the facts...

HifiMan HE-6 Six Screw Lightly Modded. Priced @ $800 SOLD

These were purchased from Friend @Ray who doesn't seem to be on the forum any more. I hope he's ok as he was a Good Guy (tm). (ETA: was just informed of Ray's passing. Sorry to hear) Ray did the usual removal of outboard padding and the grills, but took an interesting twist with a couple of fan grills with dragons on them from a gaming computer. I think they are badass looking. They look better in person than in pictures. Ray wanted to capture the open sound, but still have some physical protection for the drivers. Otherwise, no Bluetac, fuzzor, etc. on these. The cable is an LQi balanced with 4-pin XLR and two SMA's. There is one place in the cable where the paracord cover is broken. The insulation on the wires is intact and it functions as normal. I have pictures of the damaged section. There are three sets of non-oem pads (without HFM fixing lugs). It is wearing a seriously tapered set of pleather pads (with HFM fixing lugs) that I cannot identify - though I like them quite a lot. Also included is the manual in case you don't know how to operate headphones, and the factory box.

HifiMan HE-5 Re-issue modded by LFF as Code-X3. Priced at $995 SOLD

I just purchased these from @Carlos CPA somewhat impulsively using some kind of "collect the set" mentality that I have never been able to adequately explain to my wife. I don't really believe the explanation myself. I have a need to simplify my life, and like the HE-6's, these need a new home where they can be properly enjoyed. There is a lot of uncertainty around what the re-issues look like and in true HFM fashion, he sent them out with a variety of embodiments. I'll link to the descriptions and pictures in Carlos' ad for additional information of what's gone into these. I have obtained email documentation from Carlos of the purchase from HFM and direct shipment to LFF for modification and will transfer this information to the new owner. There is also documentation of the purchase of the Forza Audioworks cable. There is no HFM box with this item, but it will be carefully packaged. A stock SE cable is included as well as a custom banana plug to female XLR for use in speaker amp tapping.

Thought I'd bump the Code-X3 once before it goes out to a wider audience. - Lee
