FS: ZMF Verité - African Blackwood

I recently purchased a ZMF Verité from a great seller here at SBAF. The headphones are in African blackwood with stainless steel grills/rods. I was planning on keeping these for the long-term, but surprisingly I found that I prefer the sound of silkwood in my system.

Here is the original posting.

I'd rate these as being in excellent condition. The finish is beautiful, with a few minor marks that I've tried to show in the photos. This is probably from normal use, but might have been the way they were originally. They sound great, of course!

The pads included are Universe, Verité and another set which I think is Autuer or Eikon. It's thicker than the Universe, for sure. I'm happy to answer any questions or provide more information if I can.

I'd like to offer these here at the same price I paid, $2200. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the post! I just bought (another) silkwood yesterday to replace this blackwood. I swear that's it for me, for a long time. It's like an illness.

 

@johnnypaddock As one of the very few souls in the position to compare, can you offer anything more about the sonic differences you noticed vs the Blackwood? Totally curious.

Quick update. I sold the third set of pads in a separate transaction, so the VO will only come with the stock Verite and Universe perforated lambskin pads.

I'll adjust the price to $2,150 accordingly, and I'll keep the sale exclusive to SBAF until Friday. We're getting a pretty bad storm here tonight, so Friday would be the earliest I could ship anyway.
