For Sale: Matrix Element X

I purchased this do it all dac after it was done with the loaner program here, maybe 9 months ago. Its served me great, but I dont use most of the features, and frankly, its been almost a year, time to switch it up just to switch it up.

Same dac as Matrix X-Sabre Pro but has built in single ended and balanced headphone outs and streaming capability. Streamer is cool feature, but I listen to my turntable 75% of the time, so went unused. Good headphone out, served me well for casual listening, music discovery etc. Didnt compare hardcore to many headphone amps, but this was much more listenable than the Soekris headphone out.

This seems to retail for $3400, I bought this for $2k after its service on the loaner tour was over, willing to sell for $1,800+ shipping + paypal fees. In pretty good condition, few minor dings due to living life as a loaner, but in perfect working condition, comes with remote. CONUS only for now, friends get preferential treatment. Any questions? JoshMorr, did Matrix ever fix/update the filters for 44.1/48 sample rates? Also are you a Roon user? I assume you just plug this thing into wired ethernet and/or wifi and Roon core sees this as an endpoint.

I have not had any trouble with any sample rates. I know there have been a couple of updates, but didnt read what they specifically did. I am not a Roon user, but in an ideal world, one would use it as an endpoint just as you described. Wifi isnt ideal, but I used it as a wireless streamer through the Matrix app connected to Tidal. Digital and or digital streaming about my least favorite method of listening to music, so having a device that was meant for it was like driving a super car to Sams Club to grab some diapers.
