This has been described as sounding similar to the Airist R-2R DAC but with better treble.

Chiming in here with a couple notes: I haven't rolled any opamps or played with the caps in the signal path. If there's any interest, once the loaner tour is done I'd be happy to futz with this stuff and if there's any significant perceived improvement imho, I'll throw this back out on another tour with whatever audio-nerd parts i settle on. Also, I know I don't need to say it around here, but don't pull punches if you think it sounds like slippy-green baby poop dirty diapers.

Interested!! Have an RDAC to compare and I’m still not sure why I fascinated with DACs, but I am.

DAC arrived safely and is now warming up.

This is off to @philipmorgan (or will be by morning anyway).

A couple of things I wanted to mention. This is shipping with a substantial IEC power cable and a very nice SPDIF cable. I only mention them since they are included in the box and not mentioned in the introduction. Just so everyone is aware so it can accompany the DAC and get back to the original owner.
