My new PBT double shot shine thru keycaps arrived today, and unexpectedly, my new oversized mousepad was also delivered today, and let's not forget the cheap artisan keycaps came as well. Still awaiting two more special and more expensive keycaps to come.

A closer look at the keycaps, they're cheap, but I do hope they last me a while....

One of the things about the keeb hobby is the lack of premium shine through key caps. Even just a few special keys would be cool

My Steam themed keycap came today, nice mostly all metal construct, good a nice solid feel to it....I still have one more artisan keycap, and two more sets of XDA PBT dye-sub keycaps on the way.

First time trying out XDA profile keycaps, the keycaps seem to be made of PBT (thicker than I'd expected), and dye-subbed. They do feel good when I type, I have 'em on my CM Nova Touch....

I got some new double shot PBT pudding caps for my Razer BlackWidow Elite. They have a really nice feel to them and they definitely look much nicer than the stock Razer caps.

New XDA PBT keycaps arrived today, decided to put them on my Filco Majestouch (Cherry MX Black) since the off-white color on both seem to match nicely.

Since I had a spare set of black pudding, I'd decided to put them on my CMStorm keyboard (cherry MX Green), the red LED on the keyboard would go nicely with my incoming 'The Witcher' keycap. Not using the stock wrist rest which came with the keyboard because the crappy rubberized coating had turned a a little gooey, and quite tacky (hence my intense dislike of such rubberized coating/surface).

I have that exact same CMstorm board. The T switch still needs to be replaced though and it loses a lot of features with macOS. I might try to hack a board mod at some point for full Mac functionality.

I haven't bought any new keyboard as of late, this is a Ducky Shine 4 69 Fire Edition (6 LED colors, 9 Cherry MX switch types), I'd prolly be alternating between the 69 Fire and this CMStorm keyboard, especially when I get my 'The Witcher' keycap.

My new keycap came yesterday, as expected, it looks great with the red LED on my CMStorm.

I'd also received a fun looking XXL size mousepad to add a little color to my otherwise boring desk area...

I suppose it's time to call this build done as I've stopped tweaking with it. The pink keyboards been a longstanding gag with my friends and I just decided to run with it here. Not actually sure which keycap set I prefer as they each have a look, I'd say I prefer typing on the 'typewriter' set because of the uniform height.

Build is a Freebird60 pcb with a Keyboardbelle case. After much swapping I've landed with a steel plate & gateron clear switches. Light linears + a dense plate provide a satisfying bottom out tactile feel.
Caps are either an old set of Ducky blanks or the unbranded typewriter.

Next to try is an Ortho 'boardwalk' build but it's been delayed due to groupbuy problems.

Love the pink. I'd rock it in a larger size. I prefer full layouts FWIW.

Two more sets of black pudding PBT shine through keycaps came yesterday, decided that my Ducky Shine 2 78 Edition and my Ducky Shine 3 Year of the Snake would be their new home. Here's a pic of one set on my 78 Edition, so loving how bright my keyboard looks now.

Does anyone have an experience with the Unicomp keyboards? Thinking about moving back to an old-school buckling spring, even though I have been using Reds for the longest time.

I invested in the Drop MT3 keycaps, which I love, and chose a basic Hyperx keyboard with their "tactile" switches. I had some double shot PBT OEM profile caps on their before, but prefer the MT3s, even though they're ABS and not translucent - I think the backlight is cool and not distracting when I work in the dark. They feel great and they're really easy to work with.
