What are you listening to right now?

I love Oliver Nelson, both as player and arranger, and have a number of his recordings--but never heard of this one. Is it good?

 

@Pharmaboy Only album of his that I have heard, but I love it! Light in the Attic did a reissue that I always wanted but missed the boat on. They recently did a repress and I couldn't help but snag it. LITA color pressing can always be a bit hit or miss, but other than a tiny bit of surface noise between tracks, this one sounds pretty great.

 

The voice of the first guy goes perfectly with the instrumental

 

I think it's time we reverted to the intergallactic mean...

I was browsing Qobuz today and discovered a new Midnight Oil album was released just a few days ago. I used to be a big fan but thought they’d disbanded 20 or so years ago when Garrett was elected to Chief treehugger or whatever. Anyway I like it and will give it another play.

A band I've just discovered called ProgJect. A killer lineup doing classic Prog tunes...here's a piece of their version of "Roundabout". They don't seem to have any full songs out that I know of.

 

I've hit the first Elvis section of my mother's record boxes. Boy did she love Elvis...

 

This album makes me feel more human. Damn...
