Too many dicks on reddit. Not sure why I even tried, so I'll just post this here.

People nitpicking placement of the TV (which is centered on the couch) and center speaker have clearly never heard a horn-loaded tweeter before. I get it, the TV looks weird off-center but my seat on the right side of the couch is centered in the room for audio, and if the TV blocked the window (which would look even more ridiculous IMO) then my wife would have to turn her head 45° to see it.

Anyway, I wanted to rant in the comments on reddit but decided to just delete the post. It's not worth the brain waves to keep explaining to everyone my decisions.

What brand are the walnut speakers? I'm always curious about coaxial/point source drivers (my wet dream are the mid/tweet drivers from the pricier Thiel speakers).

    lol
they will shit on the tv not centered but wont say anything about the bay window right at the early reflection point
this system is clearly not a dedicated listening room. Reddit users are extremely weird. its like the un cool nerdy kids all have finally a voice on reddit.

nice system. those KEF would make a lot of modern speaker eat their socks.

Yeah I learned that people will talk shit about stuff they have no idea about. It was super easy to dial the center image of the tower speakers to be centered on the TV with some light tweaks to the distance settings on the Sony AVR. That's the strongest part of horns imo. I have to be like 3 ft from the tower to tell where the sound is actually coming from.

Also, thanks for the kind words on the speakers. They are truly incredible. I'll probably never have the equipment or room to get everything out of them, but I love them anyway.

Good choice, not worth it, truly. Your room looks lovely. Chill and enjoy your stuff. I've removed myself from every audio circle for the same reason. I really wanted to belong here at one point, though. Fun times.

Just got these, 12inch coax driver made in England speaker built in China. Opera Consonance Solo MK II, they are really good, 96db. Only sold by Don Better Audio in Ohio. I got a great deal from a guy in Canada. My space is small and they work, size is my only concern. My wife loves the sound and they are very pretty

Are you willing to open a separate thread for this speaker, or add a review to the sensitive speakers thread? I'm interested in reading more about these speakers.

I didn't know there was a sensitive speaker thread. Probably because there hasn't been much traffic there in several years.

Anyway, posting the link. Will watch out for it.

Those drivers on the TQWT look like the mk-i drivers. Did you buy this used or you managed to find those drivers somewhere?

I actually swapped my JBL 4312 SE speakers for these. I have the thread where the first owner built it (in India) and he mentions it being the mk2. Let me double check though.
