Sweet baby Jesus.... Whoever sold you this laptop must have never heard of compressed air! Lol. Glad Lenovo service was able to swap out the whole assembly for you.

Here's a shot of my complete portable gaming laptop setup, the Keychron K2 v2 arrived yesterday, the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed came a short while back. I'm using the Logitech MX Sound for while I'm at home. I tried out the mouse (using 2.4Ghz w/l) and keyboard (using BT) combo with the fastest paced game I play, UT3, and did not notice any lag whatsoever (you'll see that there's a cable connecting the lappy to the keyboard, it was for power only as I was charging the keyboard) :

When I do go to Canada, I plan to take the Pebble V3 with me, and leave it there. When I go to Thailand, I plan on leaving the Edifier R19U there so that I'd not need to take along any more speakers on my following trips:

The stock ABS keycaps on the L2 were beginning to shine even after just a few days of usage.Went with a set of PBT shine through Miami keycaps...

I'd swapped out the Miami keycaps with a red PBT shine through set, I dunno, these look better to me....

I'd also replaced the CoolerMaster cooling pad with a stand with a pair of fans to actively cool the laptop, I'd picked this one because the fans more or less align with the air intake vents on bottom of laptop. The airflow is definitely stronger than the CoolerMaster cooling pad, note that the fans line up nicely to air intake vents on the laptop. Temps is definitely better with this than with the CoolerMaster cooling pad. An added bonus for me is that the laptop stand can fold and is thus easier to fit inside my laptop bag.
