WTB Soekris 2541

I see one on headfi for $1k. $750 is a great deal and it’s a sbaf friendly price. I don’t think it will appear often tbh. Good luck with the searching anyway.

 

Looks like it's going to be a tough one to get

 

To have had a $750 dac2541 and a $300 dac1541 available here in quick succession is remarkable. Respect to the sellers for offering to the SBAF community at those prices.

$750 is atypical.

If I wanted to sell mine (I don't), and it's a thousand plus shipping at HF, I'd sell it here for $900 plus shipping.

 

Hmm. Since I rarely ever see soekris 2541 come up for sale here wasn't paying too much attention to price. Anyway I'm in no hurry to get another dac. So far my Yggdrasil a1 is serving my need fine. I'm going to wait a few more weeks to see if another unit comes up for sale here and then take it from there.
(Also, to whoever bought the recent 2541, looks like you got extra lucky!)

 

The one on headfi for $1000 is there for last 6 months. If you reach out to him and check if he is ok to let go at $800 or so
he may agree

 

Yeah, just because recent listings ask for a certain amount does not mean that is the going rate... certainly if they haven't sold for 6 months.

With a 65% RRP rule-of-thumb for used gear, ~$850-900 would be a fair price for a used 2541 right now IMHO. The ~$750 unit was certainly an epic deal for a lucky friend.
