How do you all clean your sneakers? I have tons of leathercare products and experience, but I have mostly synthetic athletic shoes that could use some cleaning.

    Hoka Code Trail GTX
    IMG_0735.jpg

I wish they had shoes like a few years ago when I was an avid hiker. My old "lightweight" hiking shoes were these Solomons, and they were anywhere near as comfortable as these. There were the Adidas Terrex back then, but they didn't fit me well and offered poor support. I was going to get the Hoka Anacapa, but saw these in the store. The Code Trail is a new model, sort of an update to the Anacapa with some tweaks.

I got them for UK walking, basically 20k steps a day. The mid height and GTX is for the rain. This would be either on the streets of London or on the muddy fields and trails in the countryside. They definitely passed the test. Super comfortable, plush feel only second to the Balenciagas, but without their weight and bulkiness (let's get real, the Balenciagas are better for standing showing off dadcore inspired fashion rather than than for walking around for miles).

Any winners on the big bubbles? I might have to ask a favor for anyone not interested in basketball shoes - the PE Foamposite One would be awesome to have help with. The OG blue is still my fav.

Went to Harujuku during my recent Japan trip and fell in love with these at Onitsuka Tiger. Ended up copping these wonderful Mexico 66 Deluxe.

Probably the best that I took the L on the Anfernee's - I'd like to get the Janoski coming soon. Wearing my floral cammo's now.

    Any good pickups this week?

Great sneakers. I’ve had 3 pairs over the years. Do yourself a favor, though, and get some nice squishy insoles for them. I got plantar fasciitis from walking around in mine too much (and from getting middle aged).

I was looking for Adidas Hoops 3.0 or something similar. I love the old-school basketball shoes with the ankle-guards/protection (mids/highs they are sometimes called). For some reason almost every basketball shoe in that configuration and/or style is a Jordan or Air Force One. It is awful. I used to have the Nike Borough Fall/Winter shoes from 2019 with the ankle-guards/protection and they were very tough.

Well the store (JD) had one last pair of Nike LF1 Duckboots on sale. Nike needs to make more shoes like those. Those things are great outdoor shoes for running, basketball and just being outside in the dirt.

Well - two things happened. First - I finally got what I consider a 'win', but in all reality - not very tough to score. Second - first AIir Jordan 1 High OG. I think I posted my pair of SE's that I don't consider a true Jordan due to him not actually wearing them or an actual game worn color. I don't think the AJ1 I picked up is either of those, but there is a story to them.

They are the 'Lucky' AJ1 - representing his 63 point performance against the Boston Celtics.
Should be arriving today - kinda got that youthful excitement about them. Photos maybe later.

Got an L on the Kobe's yesterday. One of the very few that are really nice. I have the 8's with the outdoor XBR rubber I think it is called. They are snakeskin. I left them in the garage too long and the rubber is toast.

My daily wear brooks adrenaline gts are already separating at the rubber/sole. Kind of out there on what the next daily work shoe will be

Booker is currently in a GT Cut II or something like that. PE's with his new logo. His own shoe should be dropping towards the season start. Just afraid of the '1's' sorta curse IMO. They start kinda affordable to feel out the waters and 'advance' them in the 2nd models and beyond.

He is the Kobe of the Phoenix Suns. Too bad we had to lose Mikal Bridges. I see him excelling wherever he is utilized. Would like to see him get his own footwear.

I've actually heard that too. Steve Nash was the same way, just wearing a team shoe.

Continuing my trend of heresy: sneakers on speakers this time. I'm looking forward to standing out in crowd in whatever I pair these with just to see my wife's reaction. I've got a nice Swatch watch to pair with them, as well (stock image on the watch).
