Based on extensive "I fell asleep with the tablet in hand and it fell on the usb cable" tests, my preferred non-audio cable vendor is Anker.

Sturdy plugs, but not so sturdy the pcb-socket joint breaks instead. Cable ain't bad too, a little too stiff mebbe.

I go through about 6 cables a year, due to all the "testing".

Another vote for Anker. They make good USB-Micro to USB-C adapters as well.

My favourite is Aukey, but the vote for Anker is noted and the recommendation appreciated. I have Aukey QuickCharge chargers in the house and car, and quite a few of their cables.

I'm no cable guy, but hey, we now live in a world where many old USB cables won't even charge a modern phone.

The Macbook Pro I have is all USB-C/Thunderbolt 3. I bought a whole mess of adapters after I bought the laptop. That being said, it's kind interesting to be able to charge my laptop and smartphone with the same cable.........if I used Android......
