    In addition to the AD stage, the ADI-2 Pro might be better when using the headphone output in balanced mode (more power + additional DAC chip), but we'll have to wait for some direct comparisons to see what the difference is.

    So if using only ADI-2 pro as DAC, the balanced out is the only way to do PRT, right?

    No, you can do PRT with any amp so long as you have a balanced connector on the headphone. It's just that if the amp has an unbalanced 1/4" output you start with a 1/4" -> 4 pin XLR adapter before proceeding as usual for the PRT. I do this with the Valhalla 2.
