@BenjaminBore seems like Valve knew where things were headed. As usual, their efforts were kind of half assed though. Hopefully Linux support becomes a thing for games.
With Valve I expect it’s a case of “fail early, fail often” so that by the time it’s needed it has been iterated upon enough to make it a robust and useful product. By that time there’ll be years worth of back catalogue accessible on there too. Still a shame that decades of Win32 software will become even more innaccessible.
I hope all those short sighted people who took the piss out of Tim Sweeney for raising the alarm on this stuff a year or two ago are starting to feel pretty silly now.
This is bad. W10, as much as I despise it is still a semi-open OS that when stable performs very well. If Microsoft wants to force "S Mode" on users, you know what time it is. I sort want W8 Pro back, such a flexible OS...
