There's quite a few on here. Search around and you'll find people that have built the Overnight Sensations MT, Overnight Sensations MTM, Speedsters and the Fusion 8
Originally considered a 99 for my own insanity, but a quick email suggested against it. Only 8-9ft distance, the 99s would be much. Thinking set of fusion 12/15. Need an idea for the center since getting a 15 under the tv would be a pain. Measurements suggest they are solid speakers for music and the savings from speakers let me get bigger subs (or two of them).
Yea, I figured smaller may be better. The 15s are just so tempting, but you may be right about going alch 8, 88spec, or F10/12 inch. I think the alch center will work fine with them all. Treble quality should be similar. I just have this false belief that bigger is always better. Any rough ideas on how the HTM series enters the loop? Their main benefit seems to just be that they are thin.
I thought bigger was better too but Klipsch Heresy's did not get much separation about 11 - 12 feet away. Sounded great a low volume though. Horns have the ability to just keep the same tone as you turn up and down.
HTM has has bigger horns and different drivers. They use the 12-SEOS for the 10 and so on. Idea is having an even bigger "throw" for HT and designed for more distance.
Erich @DIYSG has recommended trying out the Cobalt MTM for LCR. He's pretty happy with the performance and would work for treble matching across the 3.
Yea, its definitely a solid start and I can go get a kickass sub and decent receiver. If needed I'll have everything else to do any demos for upgrades in the future. That said, I'm meeting Dennis from Philharmonic Audio this Saturday hopefully.
