Feel like I was kicked in the chest and a bit of a sore throat from intubation. But ECG looks good and I don't feel like I am on the precipice of afib all the time now. 24 hour monitoring for 30 days. NO WINE for 30 days!!! And no lifting for a week.

Very happy to hear that, even though I don't know what Croods are.

That is fantastic news! I'm very happy for you. Rest up, get well, and I'll drink all that wine for you. Wouldn't want it going to waste...

(I might trade the wine for a good scotch. Don't hold it against me.)

Dude, that's great news. Some irksome conditions, but all in all I'm thrilled to see you strong.

No wine, but beer and whiskey are OK? Kidding, of course. I wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery!

That's good news, though the exercise and alcohol restrictions would be tough for me. Heal up quickly.

@atomicbob, how easy do you have to take things?

Last time I was in a chest surgery ward (not my heart: something else), exit instructions were to walk three miles a day! But six weeks off work, and it was a rare good English summer. Not all bad.

Hope you are able to similarly enjoy the enforced break.

Great news! Here’s to a quick recovery. To help out, I volunteer to do your wine drinking for you for a month, so you are covered.

Last couple of days were a bit rough after all the pain meds wore off. Starting to feel a bit less grumpy. Can lift between 4.5 and 9.0 kg now. Even beginning to have ability to focus and concentrate. Thank-you everybody for all the good wishes. Best news of all: NSR since the procedure. No afib events so far.
