I never were impressed with 2P's. Have you looked at Audioengine A2+'s?

Thanks a lot for the input. I do see that the Audioengine are available here but hadn’t considered them.

I owned the original Control Ones, then again about 6 months ago (for three days), pretty poor speaker in my opinion. My fostex powered 4 inchers are much better on my desktop.
