For whatever good I thought Nwavguy was for the hobby back then, I knew he was ultimately someone with an axe to grind.

I’ve felt this Amir was more unhinged than what I recall from Nwavguy’s blog. But if that PM is anything to go by, perhaps he was just better at keeping it under control back then.

Amir is not Nwavguy, but Amir is totally Nwavguy. Whether in the flesh or only in concept, he’s someone with an axe behind his back posing as the hero.

The question is, does he know it?

Amir does have quite the resume if indeed it's not embellished at all. Still doesn't make him the authority figure that he thinks he is, too sloppy.

@JK47 indeed, and with each post I’ve read he comes off as an egotistical bullshitter. That video only reinforces the feeling.

I don't think Amir is nwavguy, I always though nwavguy was at least somewhat more respectable. But you neve know.

Both Amir and NWAVGuy seem to have a habit of accusing Head-fi of protecting their sponsors.

Now I feel bad recommending a Behringer because of Amir. It probably sounds like shit
