Maybe since 2012. All of these are purchases.
Thorens TD115 mkII, Pioneer PL-400, Elac Miracord 50,
Rega P2, Kenwood KP-5022, Technics SL-1200. All of them had one issue or another. Thought I was done with the 1200, but it arrived broken.

A used 1200 has generally seen extreme use by heavy handed DJ's

You are mostly correct. I bought the 1200 from Guitar Center used online. Had I had a chance to look at it in person, otherwise I would have never bought it. Tonearm was bent downwards and it was very grungy. I think this one was neglected rather than abused.

What is the 1200 doing/not doing?

@powermatic The one I bought...mainly the tone arm was bent down. On the tonearm rest, stylus was almost touching the plinth.

@rtaylor76 if the platter is turning at a costant and correct speed, think about replacing the arm with another, probably better arm. You will need an adapter armboard, such as this one for a rega rb250/300, which are readily available used:

Of course, not everyone likes f'ing with this stuff to that degree, which is understandable!(-:

@powermatic Thanks for the suggestion. Another table for sale in better condition locally for $75 more. Although the motor runs fine on the one I have. Just don't want to have to spend $200 more + extra work at the moment.
