    Could it be a noisy USB port or is it just the built in amp? I'm assuming USB connection for 7.1 processing.

    It’s not horrible, just annoying that there’s a constant high noise floor. Also, head tracking works pretty damn well. Makes me think of getting waves nx head tracker (what they licensed) and using it with HD800 for gaming.

    I'm sure they'll tell you to use some EQ magic to fix it.

    @zerodeefex,
    What if you try to bypass all of the Mobius digital circuitry (BT & USB-A/C) and avoid the built-in DAC/Amp, entirely... would using its 3.5mm Analog jack, make any discernible improvement on the hiss & the noise-floor?

    Honestly, if all else fails... we can ALWAYS count on Creative's "Super X-Fi" dongle to bring us to salvation & enlighten us w/ its ultra-superior virtual surround holography!? /s *Sigh*

    @A1Gear there's no way to bypass all the digital circuitry. Even the analog jack doesn't bypass all of it.
